Watched a documentary on bugs or part of it once, I couldn't sleep for a week
Jeez I'm itching now, thanks for that Andrew x

Well done to the paddleboarders

I've always loved crossing Breydon, the boys, when they were much younger thought they were going out to sea. The choppier the better. I've never come across any Krakens or sea monsters either. I reckon it's just a myth started from those moored South to stop the hoards
Enjoying your write up Kate, thank you x

Misleading titles, daft answers and silly sausages, where would we be without this place, eh? Love it
Thank you Dan for putting us right on the subject and very interesting too although I think a boat fire or some such would have been much more interesting and also could have resulted in ten pages of speculation x (just kidding of course)

not to mention the sheer pleasure of sitting by the bridge watching the world go by with a glass in hand.
Absolutely spot on
I can go to the cinema, the shops, theme parks etc any day of the week. I come to the Broads to live afloat for a week or two on a basic little boat
Look at Jeans lovely little video, that's what it's all about x

Lovely read over a Sunday morning Latte, thank you Chris
Well done at the bridge, you got through with an inch to spare so don't worry if he filmed it, it won't be on social media. If you had hit the bridge however, a whole different story x

You are so right M, there's nothing quite like a Broads holiday and being afloat. With the rising costs, closing of moorings and paying to have to moor on top of all that, normal, hard working people won't be able to afford it and that's the real shame of it all
As for the weather, I blame it on non vegan boats x

Oh gosh so sorry about your accident. Wishing you all the best for a speedy and full recovery
Thank you for the holiday tale and pics too x

Who are not like us......We are all equal.
We are all the same when it comes to enjoying our rivers and I am sure we are all the same in wanting to enjoy them safely. It's all ready been said how some paddle boarders dart out between moored boats etc. It's been said by Mark I think that his grandchildren have had tuition and rightly so but unfortunately not all people are as safety minded. There are parents where I work who's children wanted a paddle board to use on our beach in the summer holidays so they got one simple as that. No training, no rules, nothing, A tragedy waiting to happen, I suppose when, and when, not if it does everyone will be up in arms shouting how something needs to be done
I've had my say, I am done with this x

The man is now blaming it on the weather
1 hour ago, Ray said:This not only rings true but aligns with the "feeling" always in the background of BA decisions (or at least those coming direct from Dr Packman) that discouraging motor vessel use and\or eventually eliminating it is a desirable goal!
This frightens me Ray but I fear you are so right. I fear for the future of the Broads and boating as it would seem the authorities and the weather are actively working against us x

Thank you for the only helpful reply 😂😂.
You'd think it was bad that we care about the security and safety of our car.
I fully understand you asking Lynsey but did you really expect sensible replies from this lot You and your man have a lovely time x

Everyone is entitled to use our rivers as they see fit but I am in total support of no go areas, not to spoil it for paddle boarders but for their own safety as well as that of helms
I truly hope not but fully expect a tragedy to happen before something is done to protect them and people start blaming boaters and the boat yards
I get tired of seeing social media videos and posts of bad helmsmanship and hire yards getting a load of slack for it, how about the hundreds of times you see someone handling a boat beautifully.
Although I may be accused of being a snowflake, safety is paramount especially for the amount of children on paddle boards who have not had enough experience or tutoring x

It's good to read the little girl is okay with a slight concussion. You can't beat the boating community for giving assistance in times of need. Well done to the lady and you guys for helping out x
