If you don't have an electric winch please remember to let go of the rope when you swing your mud weight out :default_biggrin: x

  3. Oh Alan, I am so pleased for you all. Send him our love and a great big hug to yourself , your family and of course your dad

Tell him I'm missing winding him up about Arsenal and Chelsea

Perhaps there are miracles after all or maybe it's down to your dad's fighting spirit, determination and the love of his family

Loads of love to you all :default_icon_kiss:

  5. I don't think anyone could get you out of a pub Smogs, not in any way, shape or form :default_biggrin:

A decent Angler who knows their stuff will treat the fish they land with care and return their catch to the water as safely as they can. We have a Carp cradle to lay them in once caught, proper soft and nice it is too. x

  7. I and my family are really just pleasure anglers and fair weather fisher people, we don't care what we catch although we do go for carp on our local lakes. Those lakes have Sunday matches and the amount of gear some of them have, I do wonder why they need all that stuff. All we ever take is rods, net, landing mat and bait and normally have a thoroughly lovely time.  They must need that amount of gear for a reason, especially when in a match I suppose.

Please could someone tell me why on earth the ruddy great poles that are cast practically to the opposite bank, just fish on the opposite bank  :default_biggrin: x

  8. I never met Iain either but we did PM a lot, he called himself my on line Granddad, who wouldn't be proud to have a Granddad like him?

He made an impact on my life. when I was going through trying times, he was there for me. I will never forget him

I also would like to say how very much I agree with Helen, we have a brilliant team who go the extra mile and give us such a brilliant forum

To Iain :default_xmas6: Our Pesky Mod

To Uncle Mike :default_xmas6: Another true gentleman

To Alan :default_xmas6: Another pesky Mod I had private conversations with and a complete gentleman. I don't think he was ever the same after he lost Tan, Hopefully, together again somewhere

  9. A very Merry Christmas to our boss and team. Thank you for all you do behind the scenes to allow us a safe, fun place to be a member of

  10. I have had this when mud weighting. You choose a beautiful, nearly empty Broad to have a bit of alone time then a ruddy great cruiser does the same and so close to you that when the boat swings round your boats are almost touching

There were no reliable witnesses ......... and you can't prove anything.....

i am with you there Bucket, I have never dinted a boat, I've not hit a tree or lost fishing gear hitting said trees or anything :default_biggrin:

Kate that last photo is stunning.

Have a lovely day, I think it's going to be a sunny one

  11.  I've lost count over the years of the amount of people I've seen messing about on boats with no life jackets, children included.

Hopefully, future newbies will read this, realise the importance of wearing life jackets and how it could save their lives if ever they were to find themselves overboard

    Well done Kate

  12. Goodness me Kate, I am so pleased you are okay. Thank you for posting, it really is a stark reminder about life jackets for always but even more important when you are solo

If you wanted a swim, I find a nice indoor swimming pool, with life guards and a warm changing room would have been much better for you :default_biggrin:

    Take care and stay safe
