  1. Yeah but I bet you are 'running' like hell in the meanwhile!!!!
  2. incidentally the whole of the Howards Way series is on youtube - a great watch!!!
  3. I find running on chip fat means that you get 'scraps' or even the odd chip in the fuel seperator... unless you get it from the chinese chippy up the road then.....
  4. Has anyone seen the article this month about Howards Way?? And has anyone else noticed that Barry and Sharon's Turbo looks extremely similar to the 'unknown' one featured????
  5. Finally got to pich through the photos last night! Full files from my photobucket links here!!!
  6. Like the tail pipes.. It's those new Dixie horns that you have fitted that did it for me. Good to know what is important for some. The word turbo and a big pipe anyone want to buy a second hand Subaru STi ?
  7. Hey baz have you considered popping a drag net out as well to shave off a little more speed as well? Hehe
  8. I'm not sure that I'd want to be that near to a skittish praline at slow speed. Lol. Seriously though. I'm over the moon to hear that you are keeping serenity. By the way snap davits are 29 quid each at blue water marine. You'll be wanting to refit those soon I guess!
  9. Well I guess that when you get to our age Wayne we look for the stability and a hull that isn't ao thin that you can read through it. Lol!!!!
  10. Im not sure I would have said that ....pedestrian....hmmm we'll see
  11. Yep Mark, Tina and Holly joined us at the weekend and are on the forum! All very welcome, and fully converted!!!
  12. So whilst the Northern Crowd were busy filling their bellies somewhere up North, an odd thing happened. A few of the salties found themselves, just by chance, on Breydon at the same time! Indeed even the local Broads Rozzers were there to give a cheery wave as we swept by! I'll get a few pics up at a later time as they are at home on the other camera but here are a few bits and bobs to wet the appetite! PS Thanks for the impromptu launch party and the co-launch party that was on-going!!!! (Birchwoo is back!!!) And this too!
  13. The replies I expected for the reasons I expected. I totally agree that the sealine finish post 98ish is totally excellent and I also agree with the reasons some prefer the sd route. I'm just really intrigued having been looking around the marketplace how sealines sell so well in some areas and bot others. I like them both as manufaturers but avoided bringing fairline into the picture A great convo
  14. Ah it's a totally open question and hoping people will expand with what type of sealine they have - what they use it for etc... I've had this discussion a number of times recent;y and it is interesting what has come to light... just open and jovial research really - I know it's interesting in that I obviously have a vested view in asking!!
  15. And how do these brown trout hold rods in order to fish...I'm confused... By the way welcome to the forum - probably the best thing to do is send a PM to w44nty as he seems to be a bit of a fishing guru on the forum
  16. So I know I'm opening up a big can of worms on the sea boat front but lets have some open debate... Birchwood vs Sealine Lets negate the already obvious point that Birchwood are no longer trading and make this an open for and against slot - I'm really curious to guage people's opinion here!!!
  17. Fuel cut off valve in the injection pump ?
  18. I like I like I like - Who is that good looking guy with the Sealine 27 ????
  19. Yep I thought they were pots too, then saw the line, checked...an... - net!! Position in my gps for next time... was talking in the Ramsholt Arms that night to another boaty and he told me the tale of being tangled!!! Avoid all pots, markers etc is the only good advice, if it wasnt for the fact that the sea was 'mirror like' that day I wouldnt have been so nosey... nor spotted it either!!!!
  20. Hope you enjoy yournew home - right on our doorstep!! Yes Levington has to rate right up there with 'we have to pay for this development somehow' in the fuel sot ratings and Woodbridge and the Deben are great pottering grounds... ..Just watch out for the lobster pots and LONG DRIFT NETS just north of the Deben roughly abeam Bawdsey in the future - most people think they are pots and find out when they find the thick black net that was strung between them when they are unravelling it from their props!!! Shame you didn't manage to spend a night at Ramsholt though - a definite recco for the future Dare say we will see you around, enjoy the orwell, enjoy Pin Mill, if you need petrol, pop into fox's, get a trolly and the Shell station is literally right next door and they are used to people filling up for boats! Take care and happy boating!!
