Currently at Polkey's Mill for a lunch and doggy walk break prior to going across to the north this afternoon. We passed 'the lads' earlier as they were moored at Reedham. -

We did that once when we hired. At last it teaches you to make sure to relocate the dip stick properly! The main problem was that we did it at Dilham, where the phone signal was non existent. I had to walk half way to Stalham in the pouring rain before I could phone NBD. -

I was wondering if we'd pass you somewhere on the Yare. -

We did Beccles to Rockland St Mary today, with a doggy walk stopover at North Cove en route. It's been the most glorious cruising day. Temperature wise like the most perfect summer's day, not too hot but hot enough. I think we got up to 24 degrees mid afternoon. -
And there was me thinking menu- ooh good...food! Hope the Londis is cheaper than the Nisa that opened up earlier in the year!

Slight change of plan (as usual), we left Oulton Dyke late morning and are now at the Beccles Yacht Station. -

Whoohoo... managed to grab the Peto's mooring spot just before 9 this morning. Plan is to stay here until early afternoon and then make our way to Beccles. -

Yes it was fun, though we'll probably revert to our usual bimble across when doing the crossing by ourselves. Cheaper on fuel and we like watching the wading birds. -

So we get up early to come down south on Saturday so we can go to the Copper Smokehouse for Sunday lunch (one of our shareholders keeps going on about how good it is), so I phoned earlier to book a table only to find they are closed for staff holidays. and At least we have a nice quiet mooring in Oulton Dyke. Much quieter than the Yacht Station. -

As you will have seen, we joined the lads week flotilla from Acle, through Yarmouth and across Braydon. A slightly less staid crossing than our usual! 🤣 Waved farewell at the end of Braydon and are now at Burgh Castle moorings for a doggy comfort break and a spot of lunch before we carry on. We managed to pass, or be passed by, Luna Aurora three times this morning, completely confusing Sam in the process. Joining the flotilla just above Acle. -
What fun! I see Pozzick and Seren managed to get into the picture!

We were on the beach at Caister around that time and then went to do our food shop. We didn’t want to turn up too early at the boatyard as that can disrupt the turnaround check. Lovely sunset this evening. -

I remember it well Sue. May 2017! The boat was so cosy, you certainly gave us a favourite impression. At that time we thought it would be many years before we could consider buying into a syndicate as we had caring responsibilities at the time. How quickly things change. -

On our way to MS for Trip 15 (whoopee!). This one's a bonus trip as one of our new Syndicate members couldn't use their week. Currently at the La Hogue Farm Shop cafe for lunch. The day is warming up too, so a good start to the holiday. -
It is indeed, lovely and quiet normally, though we like the wild mooring not far from the mouth of the dyke. That’s slightly dodgy as it does have a shelving bank. Just don’t tie up too tightly!

Or, you might find yourself cruising along long one day, minding you own business, and come across a dog that needs rescuing. You never know on the Broads. Not that we have any regrets, much the opposite.
-
Err, you had me there…idyllic doggy scene until you got to the flatulates bit. Accurate though.

Absolutely, fleas on a boat would certainly be a nightmare. Dogs will be given the anti-flea treated tomorrow, as we are afloat the day after. Pozzick is due his annual vaccination too. Can’t believe we've now had him for a year. Where did that year go? He’s now very settled with us and has indeed, as someone commented early on (Smoggy?), turned into a very ‘comfy’ dog. Seren still tries to boss him round, but he takes everything in his stride.

Luckily I haven't yet encountered bed bugs, but I've read that they are tricky little blighters that you can inadvertently bring home with you in/on your luggage, so I don't think for a moment that they'll stay in Paris!
-
Well I would call that combination all in one day pretty special.
-
How many of the most delightful moorings on the northern Broads can you pack into a day? I think you’ve probably broken the record.

Love The White Horse. Actually, I love White Horses…especially the ones at Neatishead and Upton.
