  1. Seems to work for me, on Android.... Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  2. And that's where the UK needs to shift away from coal-fired etc. If every new build house had to have a few KW of Solar on the roof, and new factory and office buildings had to have them on the roof then we'd have much less reliance on power stations. The installed cost is low as a percentage on housing so why are we not doing it?
  3. The power stations which power the oil refineries? Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  4. The thing people forget about electric vehicles is that it cuts out the network of fuel tankers, and the pollution and danger that goes with them. And is the energy used to generate the electricity much different to that used in refining oil? The other benefit is air quality in cities, and if the UK would introduce mandatory solar installations on new buildings (particularly commercial ones) there would be a lot less dependence on fossil fuels. 5. An excellent result for the Skipper of Comet, all things considered!
  6. Have you considered a Calypso? They're a very spacious boat for their size and good side decks on them too. These ones sold a while ago, but give you an idea of the space https://www.nya.co.uk/boats-for-sale/calypso-28/ https://www.nya.co.uk/boats-for-sale/calypso-28-12/
  7. To screenshot on your iOS device, simply hold down the home and power buttons together. When released you'll see a 'flash' effect on screen and the image will be saved to your gallery. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  8. No that's not the route. I've marked it in red. The missing link to the west is a short detour via Weston Longville. Google Maps will show you the route, but failing that the orange route will probably be a faster one to Ricko's than the one TomTom has shown you - assuming you're travelling at the weekend. I'm not a fan of TomTom these days, mine has been in a drawer for about two years.
  9. Coming from your direction, it makes getting to the Broads quicker. You just have to take a daft detour via Weston Longville, but Google Maps will sort you out. It's more of a hassle going back up North.
  10. Yeah they're not bad. Lower air draft than the sedan, but more than some. The ex Woods one with the Nanni looks lovely.
  11. Google Maps have now added the rest of the A1270 so that should improve things. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  12. It was sold, and as far as I know it's still on the Broads. The owner was related to a member on here.
  13. I'd guess at about £15K fitted, plus any additional work..
  14. A Renown 36, no less. No you don't see many of them these days! Frequently mistaken for an Ideal 40, but a rather different boat.
  15. It's only an R22! That is a completely mad boat though. Can't understand why it's so stubby... Shorter and longer would have looked more elegant?
  16. They are VERY spacious though! The difference in interior space between that and an AF38 or an AF38 Pearl is considerable. Woods have a Pearl up for sale too, although it's not the nicest ex-hire one you'll ever see.
  17. Yeah it's probably a bit overpriced, and no I don't think anyone ever bought one for its performance. The hull I think must have been designed by the neighbouring Parker's Skip Hire rather than Aquafibre
  18. And also an Entrepeneur... https://www.watersidemarinesales.co.uk/boats-for-sale/aquafibre-38-northern.html They're the most spacious 38ft boat you will find, though the hydrodynamics of the hull leave a little bit to be desired. Also the step up from the companionway onto the starboard deck from the cockpit is one of the maddest bits of design I've seen on a boat.
  19. Woods have another Westward here https://www.watersidemarinesales.co.uk/boats-for-sale/westward-38-heatwave.html Same year, but rather less upgraded.
  20. Not many. And a Westward... Never. QED.
  21. I wouldn't say bridges were not an issue - The Westwards have quite a high sheerline and a fairly rectangular cross section. I would think Potter was completely out, which is probably not the case for a Pearl. On the other hand, yes that boat does look to have been loved, and there's quite a lot of space aboard. The addition of a Nanni N4.50 is very much a plus, too.
  22. Not sure exactly what your needs are, but this seems like quite a lot of boat for the money... https://www.nya.co.uk/boats-for-sale/westwood-38-sedan-2/ Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  23. Do you mean the centre-cockpit AF38?
  24. Not sure on iOS, but on Android you tap the post and then there's an option in the bar on the top to edit it (spanner and screwdriver), and then a pop-up appears from which you select 'Edit post'. It's only allowed within around 10 minutes of your original post. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
