  2. Here is our Sea Master 27, we are selling her due to the purchase of Judith. She was purchased with the intent of doing her up and updating parts as time went on but with the purchase of Judith this hasn't happened. She's a 4 berth boat, two singles in the forward cabin and the table converts in to a double. The heads is compact and has a chemical toilet with a shower. The galley contains a 2 burner hob grill and oven, with ample storage. She will need a new electric fridge as the current one is gas and we have had to disconnect this. In the cockpit she has two seats and a bench seat across the full width of the cockpit. She has folding screens and a canopy that's only a few years old. With everything folded down you need just over 6ft at Potter to get her through. She has a economical Perkins diesel engine. She will need someone who wants to make her their own and update bits and upgrade/ give her some TLC. We are open to sensible offers and if you are interested I'd recommend a viewing so you can see for yourself and understand the work required. Please message me direct if you have any questions Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  3. From what I can see Martham Boats have purchased a few from the Norfolk Broads Yachting Company and also Oliver's Sailing Holidays has Larkspur. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  4. I'll make it this year, refurbed injector pump will be fitted this winter along with more hull work and we should be good to go. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  5. I'm not sure if cut down is the correct technical term but in the case of Martham's Judith's and ours the step in the deck was removed(see photo) The one advertised has a step and also Judith M and Maggie Jane. Hope that helps explains it. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  6. Yes we own Judith Windmill and she is the only one in private hands that's cut down as far as I know. Is this one for sale Judith of Martham? Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  7. We also missed it, I thought it would be the engine that might let us down. The engine was perfect in the end and just needed a long cruise. We had decided not to attend and stay north and give her a good run and it's a good job we did. Judith managed to open up two seams on both the port and starboard sides just below the waterline meaning the pump was going off every 15 minutes. We returned to Martham on Friday and she was pulled out within 10 minutes of arriving and work began straight away. She was launched 30mins later. We've monitored the situation and things have improved. Martham are going back tomorrow to access if she needs to come out for more work. I suspect she will but it won't take them long to sort. We'll be around next year, gutted to have missed this year's. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  8. Jayne is looking very nice Grendel, they have just finished her today I think. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  9. Well after what seems to be a long time....... Well it was really she's in the water and ready to use. Still some tidying to do on the inside but that's a whole new project in itself. Martham Boats have done a great job and spent a lot of time on her to get her back in the water. Just need to sort the injector pump and we will see some of you at Beccles! 10. Lots of larger craft have been coming through today taking advantage of the lower water. It's good to see people doing this while they can. When I say larger craft I mean bath tubs such as the gems from Richardson's, a rare site this side of the bridge these days. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  11. I'm sure we can come to Beccles next year. What are the dates? You are right she was Judith Windmill. Sent from my VTR-L09 using Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  12. Last time I saw Judith 1 was around 1992 by the boat sheds and not in the best of states. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  13. Our Judith taking up in October after being in the shed for a few years. She'll be back in the water in March ready for the season to start. She use to be Judith 2 at Martham, if anyone has hired her and has photos it would be nice to see them. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  14. Just down from Martham Ferry Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  15. We have a seamaster 27 at the moment, good solid boat and a good perkins engine in it. We regularly go through Potter. Unfortunately we are going to have to sell her due to the purchase of Judith. We were in the process of updating her but now will just get her sale ready for someone else to make her their own. 16. We've been through twice this week taking full advantage of the low water. We are the Martham side so it's been good to get out and about. We saw you moored this morning as we came through on the way to Acle. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  17. It's a lovely part of the broads we are lucky to be on this side of the bridge, I see so many people come up from potter and instantly turn left towards Hickling and Horsey without exploring down to West Somerton through Martham Broad. It's well worth a visit even for the crystal clear water and the sheer amount of wildlife you can see. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  18. The planking on Judith is almost complete, they have done a great job. Soon it will be time to crack open the paint! Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  19. She is definitely more than just a boat, many happy family memories on board and more to come. I can't wait. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  20. Thanks, I'll post updates along the way to her launch. Look forward to meeting some members on the water soon. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  21. I'm new to NBN but not the broads, I've been going on the broads since I was only a few years old. My parents bought Judith 2 from Martham Boats back in about 1992. We had her in the family for a good few years till they regrettably had to sell her. After 20 odd years and coming back to the broads we have been lucky enough to find her again and purchase her back from the family we sold her too. She has been in a shed for a good few years and now the restoration is underway. Martham Boats are sorting her hull and next year the upgrade of the inside will start! The NBN seems the ideal place to ask questions and share experiences along the way. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
