  1. Very cosy in the White Horse
  2. I'm sure someone will tell me that there has been a Mariners notice but Neatishead Staithe is closed. No notice at the entrance to Lime Kiln Dyke. Had to turn which is not easy and go back to Gays Staithe. Grrrrr
  3. Silverline fleet looking a bit depleted - maybe some in shed
  4. We arrived a bit early for the Grebe or the Swan. I would favour the Swan as apart from anything else I think the Grebe is all keg. However headed for Sutton - only beer is Ruddles and Wolf, also very expensive.
  5. Whole length of the High Street from the Maids Head to the old rail station.
  6. Safely tucked up at Stalham Staithe. Raining but that won't put Mrs Nog off her tat!
  7. Monica was spot on with the weather. First rain in ages. En route to Stalham so Mrs Nog can look at the tat. Not a soul stirring this morning
  8. We always used to enjoy the live music in Broads pubs but seems a bit scarce these days
  9. Very cosy in the Lion Looks like we are getting some live music!
  10. Saw the rangers on their big boat but they didn't bother us. Otherwise quiet and peaceful. The worst crossing we ever had was in June funnily enough. 90% of time in winter it's lovely.
  11. Thanks M. Bottle of wine sounds a splendid idea! Enjoy! We must have crossed Breydon Water literally dozens of times in every weather condition you can imagine including the prelude to the beast from the east. Today must have one of the most pleasant I can remember 😀
  12. Mrs Nog has declared it gin o'clock
  13. Oh dear, we seem to have stumbled across the Bridge Inn
  14. Hi Andrew yes, we've been very lucky with the weather! The big yards have blanket policies but a smaller family yard are likely to be more flexible. We've got something like 17 years winter experience and whereas I wouldn't want to speak for Bridgecraft in general terms if you have 'history' and are known to the yard they are likely to look on you more favourably. Needless to say Bridgecraft are excellent
  15. Lovely morning on Breydon Water
  16. You on one of the gin palaces JA??
  17. Well by the time Mrs Nog had brewed up the fog has lifted
  18. Gives an idea of the visibility range. Should improve when the sun comes out!
  19. Er, I don't think the Nogs will be moving anytime soon
  20. It's going to be interesting tomorrow!!!
  21. Caxton Club very inviting
  22. Oulton Broad sunset Getting chilly already, hope its not going to be another foggy one
  23. Hi Folks Agree, Butchers also excellent, sadly Caxton Club not dog friendly which is a shame. We are CAMRA members and have known the manager for a long time but think they will let you in if you ask nicely
  24. No don't go in the pub, Caxton Club is down Gaol Lane opposite the Tesco
  25. Soon as the sun came out the fog vanished En route to Monica land via Oulton Broad
