  1. In fact this could well be the now picture !
  2. JR !! being just a bit of a Woodfordes fan and spending the odd hour or two up at the Fur and Feather it would have been most embarrassing if I had gone astray on that one !! Good subject though, it certainly was one to make you think !!
  3. Come on Jonny, you are one of us tough Northerners But seriously, get the Webasto cranked up and its great. we woke one morning with ice INSIDE the windows. soon thawed out though and it a magical time to be out, so quiet. Also you can always warm up in the pub
  4. I'm going to look a total plonker if I get this wrong, but I wondered if it Woodforde's brewery? Its about the right date when they moved to Woodbastwick.
  5. and lastly Horning again, if I remember rightly, taken from the garden of the Swan looking down river.
  6. Thanks Clive but you are too kind !! We had 2 brilliant days where the weather just seemed to produce atmospheric shots all of its own. I think I am scraping the barrel a bit now but here’s three more – first, if memory serves, is the windmill at Thurne….
  7. Jill !! Glad you liked them. I suppose its being in that lucky position where you can say, Oh I wish I had a camera !! And I did !!! Whenever I am lucky enough to get on the Broads, the camera is never far away.
  8. You're too modest Clive!!! here's another, again taken on the stretch between thurne mouth and Acle. This was last weds. It had been very cold with a clear sky. Not a breath of wind which is why the river is so clear.
  9. I know that these are not in the same league as Clive and Lord Paul and many others but hopefully show the Broads in a different season - both taken last week.
  10. Got to be wayford bridge then? Maybe on one of the houseboats near the Hotel?
  11. Thanks Keith, if its within a mile radius of a pub I might get it, otherwise I'd probably be stumped!!!
  12. I'll have a guess at Gays Staithe......
  13. Hi We are out with Faircraft Loynes in 2 weeks time, so I’ll certainly report back. Hired an apartment from them last December and were very impressed. Favourite hire craft? Would have to be Swan Royale which we are hiring for the third time in June. I wish I had the money, I’d try to buy her. Swan Royale is an Alphacraft centre cockpit with superb visibility. She is the 32 foot version and really comfortable boat for 2. Will go under Potter Bridge at normal tides! Fitted with a Beta diesel, which purrs along like a sewing machine. I believe Keith has the 35 foot version. Lovely craft.
  14. I think its called St Benets level mill, more or less opposite Thurne Mill
  15. Well I've just requested one on line. There is a tiny line at the bottom right hand corner of the home page which says request a brouchure. I think if I were the web designer I would make that a bit more prominent. Anyway, lets see how long it takes to arrive!!!
  16. Hi Dan I received a leaflet through the post about a week ago proclaiming that "Your 2008 brochure is waiting..." but it appears you have to ring or visit the website to get the brochure proper. Got the NBD brochure though.
  17. Well done Jonny, it is Beccles. It's on the side of one of the old houses as you walk down from the yacht station into town (bridge street)? On the way to the Bear and Bells anyway
  18. Sorry Jonny, you need to be a bit warmer.....
