1. Hiya Frank, walked past your boat on Monday, looking good mate. I only came up for the day as I had things to see to, and had a walk around the marina to see what had changed. It's definately changing round there eh. Keep up the good work mate. Regards to the better half. See you up there at some time eh. Baz

Tidal Surge

People with boats moored at Broadsedge will be pleased to know, that I've just spoken to Dave, and he confirmed that all boats are safe with no damage. Have a nice day all. Regards Baz
3. Hello Alan, Once I've learnt how to drive it, I'll certainly send some in. Baz
4. Hi Lori and others, I've finally decided on my new camera. It's a Panasonic TZ30, a lovely looking camera, with everything i need, all except a user manual in English lol. That was sorted by buying one on Ebay , in A5 as well, so well pleased. Many thanks for all who submitted their opinions and suggestions, which were much appreciated. Just time will tell now whether I've made the right decision, in the lap of the gods eh . Take care all Baz
5. Hiya Clive, Looks as though it's going to be a lovely boat. I've just had an idea, if i give you my Seamaster 27, do you and the lads think you'll be able to " adjust' it, to the same spec as your new one, shouldn't take too long.
6. Hiya Lori, Thats great, how do you get on with no view finder. Do you think the Panasonic would fit in my shirt pocket ? and have you had any problems with your camera Baz
7. LORI,,,,,One for you. I've just looked at another model Panasonic, the Panasonic TZ35-K, and this is £20 cheaper than yours. Do you know what the differences are, plus, in old money, do you know what the physical sizes are for both cameras. Baz
8. Well, you've all certainly given me some food for thought, so many thanks for that. So far, considering cost, I've reached my decision, and this involves 2 cameras, firstly Robin's Sony WX200, and secondly, Lori's Panansonic TZ 10. At the moment I'm heading towards Lori's Panasonic, mainly due to the physical size of the camera, I have largish hands you see, and reading up on both cameras, the Sony is not compatable with my Mac computer on the WIFI front, but not sure about the Panasonic. It's not that important to be honest, just nit picking. So, so far all, thanks for your input, and anybody reading this, and would like to add a comment, please do. Many thanks all. Baz
9. Hello Fred, Thanks for the input. That's my problem exactly. The old cameras I always take with me, are old Kodak slip in the pocket thingies. I do actually get some good shots from them, but time marches on I'm afraid, so , in the drawer, and start looking and spending. I suppose what I'd go to, would be around £150, but not absolute. Baz
10. The Canon Ixus is the type of thing I had in mind, but hoping with a yeh or ney from someone who may have used it, or maybe have some knowledge about the end result. The web sites are great for looking, but don't really give me an owners comments or experience of the camera, and to be honest, I just can't buy after just looking at a picture, but, you're on the right track .
11. Hiya DF, Lovely cameras i must admit, but unfortunately not what I'm looking for. All I need as something small enough to slip into my shirt pocket perhaps. I do have a great camera in the Nikon, an entry type of camera in the D40, but just need a much smaller one, and unobtrusive. Thanks for the suggestion though, many thanks Baz
12. Hi all, I used to enjoy photography a great deal, a long time ago, and have owned a lot of cameras over the years, but have now decided I need a new pocket type of camera, but to be honest, because I've used the same few cameras for such a long time, the world of photography has evolved so quickly, I've been left behind, and now find that I haven't a clue about what is, and what isn't, the camera to buy, within reason of course. So could some kind hearted soul, possibly suggest the way to go. Even your own feelings towards your own camera will be considered. Many thanks all. Kind regards all Baz

A POEM

The Broads? Where are they ? never heard of ‘em, Where are they ? In Europe I wonder? not a chance, They’re in that magical place, Norfolk, The Norfolk Broads. The magical sunsets, The magical sunrises, Only to be seen by wondering eyes, Eyes of the young, eyes of the old, Sights like these will always be told. The mists on the water, will always show, The mystery, the intrigue, the ghostly glow, Where tales are told, of this watery flow. Where man once trod, now ghosts only go. The digging now done, the water has won, Those ghosts at rest, all sleep as one. Their job is done, they are at rest, What they leave, is only the best. A place of beauty, a place of peace, A place for the hoards, The Norfolk Broads. Baz
15. Hiya Frank, I do like mushrooms you know. Thankyou for the sentiments Frank/Judi, really appreciated. I'll definately see you up there some time. You take care eh. Baz.
16. Hi all, I feel very humbled by the good wishes I received when I first reported that my boat 'Moonlight' was to be put up for sale due to my wifes problems. We have since been talking, and what we have decided seems to make sense to me. Although she is still in a very precarious state, she is definately a lot improved, and a visit to the hospital on Thursday will hopefully agree with us, God willing, . So it is with many good wishes to all, that we have decided I should keep the boat, for a while anyway, and especially as the market is so low we should wait awhile. If I were to receive an offer I would obviously consider it, but as from now, I'm going to keep it. So I'm afraid I might have to do some more lone boating, for a while anyway. Regards to all Baz
17. Hello Brian, If I remember right, last years fees were £33 per foot, with a minimum 20 foot boat, plus of course the electric hookup at £75 per year with payment cards of £1,£5. £10, so for my 27ft it's around the £1000 per year. Happy New Year Brian. Baz
18. You may have noticed, but the avatar has now been replaced by a new one. Baz
19. Hi all, It's with great regret that I must sell my boat very shortly. My wife has taken a turn for the worse and now needs someone with her 90% of the time, therefore I just can't do my boating alone anymore for any length of time, so, it has to go I'm afraid. The boat is a Seamaster 27, in good order, BSS until September 2015. The list of new parts etc is quite a long one, so anyone interested please PM me for photos and much more information. I'll be asking around the price of £8.5 K, and is currently moored at Broadsedge. Many thanks for looking. Happy New Year all. Baz. PS. The avatar picture is a previous one, and not a fair representation of the boat as it is now.
20. Hello Alan, Who knows, you might be the next winner of the lottery, and then it'll be us saying the same. Keep your dream alive Alan, and I'm sure you'll get what you want. Good luck with your holidays, and welcome to the Forum. Regards Baz
21. As can be seen, it's a matt finish, but takes a varnish lovely. Baz

23. A simple question really. I'm reinstating a bulkhead/cabinet in my Seamaster, but cannot find the same, or very similar ply. The existing ply is veneered on both sides by what looks a bit like formica type material. To be honest, I don't want to travel far from home, Thurrock in Essex, and obviously not too great a cost. If I can't find what I'm looking for, then it's just a case of staining normal ply, and then varnishing. I was really hoping to get away from a lot of work. Getting lazy I suppose in my old age. Maybe C Ricko could might remember the appropriate name of it. He might be my only hope. Many thanks for that. Baz
24. Firstly, a bit belated I know, so sorry for that, but just to thank you all for your comments, and to let you know that I'm now up and running with my new tv and aerial. The aerial is a 'Log 40' and the tele is called a Cello. The picture is as good as I get back home, brilliant in fact, so really set up for the long dark nights of winter. Thanks again all Baz
