  1. Nope just had ham n cheese rolls as too rough to risk getting the frying pan out. Although only me brave enough to make us all a hot drink Griff
  2. Ok, sea state has increased to about 8ft, not a problem in itself. What is an issue is that we have altered course to 072 so the bow is bang on into the swell. Add to that the swell is short with sharp peaks ( and white horses). We were at 2’200rpm or SOG 12kts+. Too much crashing into next goffer, heavy spray over fly bridge, helm fwd windows no vis at all, most uncomfortable. So I have reduced SOG to 9:5kts. I am playing about with rpm’s and this is about the max but it is manageable. Sheila on her way home as planned, lucky for her Griff
  3. The final fuel up will be at Goodchilds. We planned that way from the word go. So the final count up will be the same for all This mornings fill up was the biggest yet but yesterday we was running at 2400rpm. No chance of that at present. Griff
  4. What could possibly go wrong? I’ll tell thee. Our up to date admiralty chart states Brighton Marina maintained depth 2m. Only our depth sounder states different. The HM has advised us 2 x Hrs or 1000 before we can move from our pontoon for fuel or 1 x Hr before we can leave the marina. So here we sit until 1000, by the time we have fuelled and departed it will be around 1045, which puts our eta at Ramsgate at 1900 - ish. Joy and glee. Ramsgate is a tight entrance at the best of times when it’s light according to the chats. None of our crew have been to Ramsgate and I can’t remember if I have or not Griff
  5. Morning all, well best laid plans n all that. We intended to move over to the fuelling pontoon at 0745. Instead we are now in Wetherspoons having b’fast Griff
  6. I have a good idea of how much fuel she will take onboard tomorrow morning after today’s run of around 8 x Hrs at 2400 rpm. Not trying to give any clues away but it’s an impressive amount (for some) Griff
  7. Heyup, alongside floating pontoon in Brighton Marina. Gear stowed, passage planned for tomorrow. Shore power on (complementary with mooring fee). Another 8 x Hr sea day completed. Refuel in the morning at 0800. 78 mile tomorrow to Ramsgate, eta 1600-ish Griff
  8. Getting busy now, ferries pleasurcraft rag n sticks etc. Still grey with reduced vis. Sea state picking up slightly. Tide has taken 3kts off us now at 12kts. Course 102 Griff
  9. Now passed Yarmouth, checked in with Southampton VTS. All to the good. Flat calm. SOG 15+kts. Course 067 Griff
  10. This is great, can you give me next wheel over and course to steer? had to dodge a few fishing buoys RPM set for 12kts but enjoying tidal assist as expected now SOG 15+kts a lot calmer ride so far good photos you lot btw - Tks Griff
  11. Morning all, as you’re aware we are underway SOG 14kts, vis poor, sea state slight. All to the good Griff
  12. In Wetherspoons at present. Cheap but cheerful, (some nice eye candy too) early start tomorrow, in here for B’fast st 0700 sharp. Might go early back onboard this evening and sort out those issues. Diesel today - was more than 200 Ltrs but Less than 1000 Ltrs Our Crabfat turned a few different colours today but no one was sick. We have told him tomorrow will be worse (it actually will be better) Rotten lot eh? - has to be done though Griff
