Wildfuzz
Just to let you know I will be away next week (in the med - snigger) so you will have to do without my wit and humor for a few days! I am pleased to say that so far this season all has been very good with minimal incidents and crimes on the Broads, this is a big relief after we got hit badly last year. I wish you all safe journeys on out network and promise not to think of you whilst sitting in the sun and sipping cold drinks. Current forecast for location 37 degrees for the week ahead. (wet and windy here!!! - further childish snigger ) S.

Viking23
What do Policemen have on their sandwiches for lunch...? Truncheon meat lol I thought about this after Gracie's comment about Wild Fuzz's uniform, and I thought, did she consider what he was going to do with his hand cuffs, helmet and Truncheon when he was on holiday. lol.

Gracie
Awe thank you Stuart, I hope you don't mind me asking but will you be consuming said red in or out of uniform? Seriously, that's a lovely thought, you have a lovely time and a full report when you get home would be good Grace
Viking23
So when Stuarts away, shall we report lots of things, like boats not slowing down at give ways, or boats crossing the central double white lines, then it proves that Stuart was doing a great job in reducing these crimes lol. Some people are scared to go on holiday, as sometimes it's never noticed, and it brings into question what they really do lol. We have all worked in places like that lol What concerns me though, have we lost a high percentage of the broads police force due to holiday entitlement? Baitrunner
I am sure if Stuart can get WiFi he can still post on the forum and if he can find a lathe can maybe do some wood turning - does he do anything else? Maybe we should go round and "borrow" a few things from each others boats and when Stuart is back he can amazingly "find" it and get it back the rightful owners. Hoorah for Stuart Have a good holiday Stuart.

Viking23
I am really pleased that Stuart has made himself available to the general public, all be it a limited specialist audience, some people find it difficult to talk to the police, or welcome them into their lives. I've nothing to hide, I've hidden it already lol. I've had family in the police force, my father in law retired a sergeant, from Cheshire police and my Brother in law was with the British Transport Police, Edited to add, I forgot to say my former neighbour is with the armed response unit in Staffordshire, just goes to show how normal these people are, that I forgot he was a police officer for a moment lol.. they are normal people with normal family lives, and this is what Stuart has been seen as, we all feel comfortable having Stuart as our list of friends and family. Some forces don't like this type of contact with the public, but as we all know it has bridged a gap and Stuart has made this happen, I just hope the "force" is with him. lol. The forum are the eyes and ears for the local broads police and I think this, with Stuart's input may have helped to reduce the crime but also increase the percentage of crimes solved. Stuart, you have my full support. Richard

Wildfuzz
Goodness me your all so nice..... But you are right Richard we are mere mortals like every one else, we are trained and bestowed with powers for sure, but the moment these overtake our basic humanity it is time to readjust the career path. However like all jobs some people are more "forthright" than others, and it only takes an encounter with one of these types to gain a reputation which sticks. I hope I have and will continue to pass on snippets of advice and info, the occasional joke and odd insult or compliment for a good while yet. Baitrunner
Like Richard I to have a couple of very good friends who are in the force. Anyone who met them would never know it. They are just as weird, dishonest, sneaky, sarcastic etc as the rest of us - I was going to say normal? Obviously they have to do their job when they are in their uniform, but once it's off (did I really type that) they are just normal folk. I hope Grace isn't having palpitations if she reads this?
