I've had a number of holidays afloat in mid-October. Great time to be out on the rivers. Just have to make sure that you're moored up before sunset.

Our "lads week" was always the last week of October or first in November - it's a great time for the Broads, no problems finding a mooring and most places are still open. It can get a touch chilly at night but hot water bottles and microfibre cloths for the condensation soon sort it. We've had T shirt days and woolly hat and gloves days!

We too are out the First week of October on Omega, I've been a couple of times before in October and it's a lovely time, weather has always been kind with only one day of rain from memory, moorings are pretty quiet, think the only place we had to mud weight for about 10 minutes was Ranworth, then straight in and on the electric

I'm not surprised given the current stance on taking children out of school. It must have created a number of pressure points in the holiday industry in general.

Yes bet it did. More expensive in school holidays so makes it hard for most families. Wasnt alot of premium voats left with the main yards
