Have not fished in a while. I used to fish off the eastern seaboard for fluke, flounder and bluefish. Obviously broads a lot different.I understand i need a license. Just want to spend sometime relaxing and fishing with 14 year old son and wife. To keep things simple, what rod and bait and anything else i need to be prepared. Thanks I hope you can help. Oh yeh, first time on the broads as well. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app Quote

Wildfuzz Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 For ease of use and to keep the coat down if its just for one trip get a pole and some pre made float rigs, a decent net and some bait, don't forget a decent disgorger and forceps, cheap fun and efficient. unless you want to invest in rods reels, feeder, weights, floats hooks, and the endless terminal tackle, line and accessories..... 1 Quote
TheQ Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 Another minor point is you are not allowed to fish from a motorboat (or sailing boat that is underway. (Broads regulation 29.1) Enjoy your fishing Quote
JennyMorgan Posted July 25, 2017 Posted July 25, 2017 As Wild Fuzz has written, keep it simple, any half decent tackle shop will be able to help you out. Another point, please don't hold the fish that you catch with a towel, wet hands only! 1 Quote
