smitch6
Hi folks, strange question, I have a wooden flag pole with a pulley at the top of the pole and a small cleat near the bottom. I have just received my new ensign flag and it has a loop at the top and a loose rope at the bottom. does anyone know how to attach it to the pole pls? JennyMorgan
Hopefully you have a flag halliard, a string that goes in a loop from the pulley to the cleat. Tie that string to the flag and pull the flag, toggle at the top, up to the top of the pole.

annv
Hi mitch Is the pulley at the top let in the pole if so get a length of cord make a lupe big enough to push the toggle through then lupe it over the pulley then down to cleat then up to the cord that is attached to bottom of flag and tie of you need to allow some slack to be able to host/lower the flag and tie of i have a snap shackle attached to my lower flag cord so as to easily detach when required. smitch6
the pulley is enclosed in the mushroom top, but i gather i just need an extra piece of rope and tie it to the top loop on the flag then tie it off at the cleat, then tie the bottom rope to the cleat also
JennyMorgan
Alternatively use cable ties to fasten the flag to the pole!
quo vadis
Good old cable ties alternately use duct tape
