A Few Old Photos

Recommended Posts

My good wife was sorting through her late parents photos and things,to send off stuff of a family relevance to rellys

these were amongst them all.

I know some forumites are historians, and you never know one of these may directly relate to one of you.

1st one dated 1954.

could be Bridlington area as the next pic has same date

Hi Mikeyboy

The first two photos are definitely Bridlington

I recognize the sheds at the left of the second one. They are the sheds where they land the fish caught by the local fishing fleet.

The jetty shown in the first one is where some of the pleasure trips and fishing trip boats load and unload passengers.

Hope this is helpful

Jeff

This one is signed off as the “ big ship”

all photos were taken by the Rev Hector David Woodhouse

I reckon this new ship is being fitted out at John Browns, Clydebank. The dark crane in the middle is the Titan and still there as a museum.
