pks1702
Amazing footage of a Trawler sinking off the Northern Irish coast. The crew clearly displaying the old adage of not leaving a sinking ship until the last minute http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-20125988
goodall_m1
At least they had life-jackets, and the time to get them on. As to not leaving the boat until the last minute, it would have been far easier for the boat that rescued them to see the sinking trawler than it would have been to see a couple of heads in the water. I must admit though that when the boat finally sank I was a bit worried about them being sucked down with her. My other thought was that "wasn't there something more usueful that the guy with camera could have done instead of filming it"?
ranworthbreeze
Hello Goodall_M1, With regards to being sucked down the mythbusters proved this to be a myth on their programe. If you have not seen it, it is worth a watch. Regards Alan

MauriceMynah
The guy filming was doing the best thing for the trawler owner, useful for the insurance claim.
senator
Good to see how useful the liferaft floating in the water was, maybe they were thinking about the cost of having it serviced.
pks1702
Step into the life raft as the boat goes from beneath you..... Seriously I would have been away once I knew the vessel was beyond saving. And as for that auto inflate LR
