Sahara Sand

It was such a nice day yesterday on the broads - we were up early and it was beautiful with the mist rising from the water. The day before it was surreal, like being in some sort of weird movie could not see the sky because of the dust clouds.

We had it last week in Yorkshire, but with all the wet weather we had last week we did not notice it much other than the very light dust over the car.

 

A few years ago we were in Devon and we had a covering of sand on the top of the car that had to be hosed off.

Our car got covered early last week. We washed the car before we went to the boat last week, it looked lovely. Got home late last night and it was covered in sand again!

Going to let it stay dirty now for a week or so just to be sure as don't want to waste time washing it just for it to get sandy again.

Funny thing though, other than a light covering of sand on the windscreen of the boat the rest of the boat was fine, maybe the sand does not stick well to fibre glass?

Nothing at all (except dirt, grime, duck poo, mud, algae, spilt varnish, tar and that funny sort of greenish grey stuff you find everywhere) will stick to fibreglass, that's why it never needs cleaning.

Ha ha we spent the last few days cleaning the boat, duck poo, spider droppings, etc but not the same sand stuff that was on our car. I recon our boat is magic. Lol
