Christmas Hire

I am looking to hire a boat for 1 week over the Christmas, which boat yards hire over this period so that I can make some enquiries.

Faircraft Loynes do, but be prepared to dig fairly deep! December is fantastic time to be out though.

Herbert Woods don't hire in Dec or Jan. Barnes Brinkcraft might but I'm not sure.

Royalls stopped Christmas hire a few years ago now.

It has been an OK year. Far few hires than there should have been considering the weather. 

 

Too many companies seem to issue press statements saying that "bookings are up by X%" but often these don't state against what. 

 

Compare this year with last year and it is substantially better. But last year was shocking as was the year before. Comparing a better year with a really poor year is a rather pointless exercise. 

 

It remains a tough environment in which to earn a living, but we're still there (for the moment) and hope to introduce some new boats and ideas next year.

 

The web cam is unlikely to be resurrected any time soon. I really must change the web site!
