More good news?

It it just me wondering why out of £190,000 in parking fees and fines nobody considered buying a 3'x4' shed and employing a carpark warden, to carry out a less draconian system, and bring in more visitors and therefore more money to the park?

Just think of all the fun the Broads Authority could have rebranding the shed... The WHO or Whittlingham Holistic Operation, how about the CPO or Car Park Operations. GCHQ Good Carparking Head Quarters?

I wonder if Parking Eye's apparent willingness to pull out early has anything to do with the government decision to allow ten minutes grace before drivers are 'fined' for staying stay too long in council owned car parking spaces?

Hi Peter,

I am not sure that Parking Eye are willing to get out of the contract they have had for almost ten years.

We know the amount they made in fines in the last year but does anyone know what they have charged the Broads Authority for the right to to impose their fines?

I agree with Tim's suggestion that a couple of men in a shed on shifts would cost the BA next to nothing and would complement the staff that already work in the visitors centre & cafe assumming these are currently manned and not hit by pointless cutbacks.

Regards

Alan
