troutman62
Makes me glad I use the B1145 from kings Lynn as its 90% quieter and shorter mileage to Stalham and got some great chippys and tea rooms for stopping at including a farm shop and tea room.Hear hear ! use it every time, never any traffic at half seven in the morning. Stress free !
Boaters
Got caught up in the diversion due the the accident between Salhouse and Wroxham last night no diversion so every lane was chock a block with drivers trying to get round it.Had just spent ages getting through Postwick and this in the paper tells why .Lets hope it is sorted soon.http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/politics/apology_after_major_delays_at_27m_postwick_hub_junction_on_edge_of_norwich_1_4274889
JimG
I leave the A47 at the Acle turn off. Will i be affected?
Boaters
If you are coming from the Norwich direction you will pass through this junction on the way to Acle on the A47.Diversions when closed are only at certain times Jim .
Soundings
Is there actually a diversion on the A47 that is more than it was, say, a month ago?

SwanR
Being fortunate enough to be out on a boat the last few days we had BBC Radio Norfolk on yesterday morning and were listening to the reports of all the chaos at Postwick - which we never knew was pronounced that way until we heard it on the radio!Charlie I hear the A12 is to be made three lanes from Chelmsford to Colchester over the next few years. Might have to find a different way to Norfolk from here to avoid those roadworks if it ever happens.

Viking23
Fail to see how the new road layout will ease any traffic at all. It is lunacy to close an existing slip road that performs the task of taking traffic from the a47 and into Norwich only to have to route those cars all around the area, at least a mile further out of their way, just to go back to Thorpe or St Andrews Business Park and the like. Already, leaving Norwich has become a mile longer, and not getting in will become a mile longer too. In the grand scheme of the NDR, this might make sense, but to bugger up traffic flow for the existing areas is crazy. In the grande scheme of things, creating an extra two miles of roadway is probably to "Stack" the traffic in times of heavy traffic flow, works ok in Dover, and the whole of the M25 lol
SwanR
Is it really worth it! Colchester is only up the road from Chelmsford. It is if you live here and constantly get stuck behind lorries overtaking lorries on a two lane section of the main route to get anywhere from Chelmsford. The number of small on-slips means it's not very feasible to simply ban the lorries from overtaking at certain times of day as has been tried in other places. Soundings
Do that all the time here in Norfolk - get stuck behind overtaking lorries (or lorries in general) that is. Used to get aggravated but now see it as a fact of life. Lorries do not stick to motorways anyway so it is always going to happen somewhere unless of course we concrete over the entire country with three lane roads. That's my take on it anyway Take your point re slip roads though. Edited October 17, 2015 by Soundings
