JennyMorgan
I see that the owners of the unfortunate dog Lulu that was drowned last year have donated £1,000.00 to Hemsby Life Boat. A brilliant ending to a sad beginning. http://www.edp24.co.uk/news/large_donation_made_to_hemsby_lifeboat_for_efforts_to_find_missing_dog_lulu_1_4371353
Gracie
How heart warming that people can be so generous at such a sad time and such an excellent cause, well done to them Grace

JennyMorgan
Chris, I lifted that story from today's EDP24.
HemsbyPie
The donation was greatly received, it went straight into our new ILB fund which we hope to purchase in the next year or so. The guys went out 3 times on the boat to try and find her, and also had the task of retrieving Lulu when she was discovered.

Good to see the Hemsby lifeboat getting some much needed funding; they do some great work, but credit where it's due - I understood that the BA's Seasonal Ranger, Matt Larkman, pulled the body of the dog from the river and brought it ashore at St. Benets. Our guys then retrieved it from the bank and took it to a local vets on request of the owners.

ChrisB
It must have been the picture I saw earlier then, somewhere. My apology.
