  1. I am up for both walks and on either dates and times and thanks to all concerned for getting it all on the go again, looking forward to it Newf
  2. If you have any issues with your BSS exam there is an option to contact the BSS office and complain. This can initiate , as in my case and if they feel it is warranted, a visit from one of their chief examiners . In my case, which is still ongoing at the moment so I don't want to elaborate to much, I purchased my boat with a cert. which became due for renewal in Sept. The exam bought to light issues that obviously should have been picked up at the original exam and some that could have happened since. My case is still in the process but believe me once you complain they really do a thorough job. Newf
  3. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh dont tell Paul he is already lopsided, although it might even him up a bit !!
  4. I know now that after reading Bruce's first post I should have given up straight away but no I carried on and my little brain is more scrambled than usual.
  5. Good news Simon, should be enough snappers about now ! Looking forward to meeting up again Newf
  6. Pete I dont think you need worry about piccies , I'm sure there are enough people with cameras and Simon what's all this about 'not the right equipment' I can loan you a box brownie !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I shall be there with my stuff but I probably have a destructive reputation by now but maybe I shall take my memory card straight out afterwards and give it to Paul or Simon if they are there !! Colin
  7. I think I might have learnt my lesson Bruce be it the hard way but your pics together with others put what I had into significance and reading your posts has taught me a lot or perhaps just opened my eyes as to what can be achieved with a bit of forethought Colin
  8. Thanks Brian just been looking, tidies things up !!
  9. Bruce, Well done for the succesfull request and it will be easier to keep track of things to come and thanks to Paul for taking up the challenge and you other guys for getting the ball rolling and who knows where it will stop Colin
  10. Thanks for the tip Bruce, I must admit I'm getting a bit confused with all the threads that have appeared since this was started. I shall now go and look Colin
  11. Simon what a post, b..y marvelous just wish I'd seen it before we went out last Sunday but as you maybe would have gathered my comp. was in the bin and I misjudged when my new one was arriving so I have only just read it. Make haste for the next one in case I forget all the tips, Well done, Colin
  12. Thanks for the info about the card recovery software Bruce and Paul. After some problems I remembered that I had back up some time ago to my ext. hardrive but since deleted but the software recovered all that even though some were currupted so at least I have got back most of my family stuff but unfortunately I had reused the memory cards from the camera so I lost them but all was not lost thanks to you guys, Colin
  13. Thanks for the input guys and I'll try the memory route but as for the bulk of my pics they are gone I'm afraid. I suppose I jumped the gun in as much as I distroyed the hardrive of my old PC before I got rid of , nobody to blame but myself,I'll post back after investigating the memory card, Newf
  14. Hi all and my apologies for being so quiet Simon but the fact is I am embarassed and very 'miffed' is the polite word I think. I shan't bore you too much because I want to return to crying in my pillow, but the jist of it is I have lost all my photo's, yes allthat were on my comp. Now I can here you all shouting why didn't you back them up but I did or I thought I did onto my external hardrive .............wrong. To elaberate a bit I have just changed server and at the same time changed from my PC to a new laptop so probably in my confusion at all these things going on at the same time and taking in my considerable age disadvantage the bottom line is I have lost the lot. I shall just jump on the bandwaggon and blame BT !! Luckily I should be able to retrieve most of them because friends and family should be able to replenish the stocks for me but the ramble pics are gone I'm afraid but I shant make the same mistake again. Newf
  15. Thanks a lot Simon for organising a very instructive and enjoyable afternoon. I think you hinted that we may be treated to further outing at some time in the future, count both Mike and myself in. It was also good to be able to put faces to nicknames and roger the cabin boy will just have to change that Hope we can meet up again soon and perhaps with some new faces, Newf
  16. Thanks for that Plesbit, I only reaffirmed because I noticed I wasn't in your list of names in your previous post so I wasn't sure if you had seen it, didn't want to be missed out !!! Colin
  17. As already stated but I shall reaffirm I am definately up for it plus one other on the 14th and hankering along Pauls idea for a Salhouse broad plus perhaps Woodford as an initial test run, but will go along with the majority and looking forward to some tuition from the experts, Colin
  18. Sounds like a good plan Paul but there agin I'm up for whatever you all decide Colin
  19. Anytime would be good for me and a Sunday in Sept. seems fine. Maybe a couple of us could arrange to leave our cars at Malthouse get a lift back in friend or family car, I could certainly do this and probably bring back myself plus three. Colin
  20. Hi plesbit, Paul gave me the wink on this one and I'd definately be keen to have a go, I have a decent camera but I need someone to get behind it and take some decent shots !! Colin
