  1. Have a great time John and post us the good bits
  2. Clive I bow to your superior expertise as far as boat building is concerned but as far as I understand Barry deal is deal and pine, with a higher sap content, is pine and probably more resistant to water ingress, maybe wrong and oppologies if I am.
  3. Shame on you Clive, Deal is cheaper and will do the same job as Iroko or Mahog. cheaper maybe but ...............
  4. What great pics Mark, I'm always on the lookout for the little bu...ers and when I do see them my finger-eye-brain co-ordination is feeling the effect of my advanced years These are definately on par with Paul's as I'm sure he would agree.

My sig . is a 360 as those on the Norwich walk know. It is a shot of the cloisters with me in the middle of the green with tripod (borrowed from Mark ) and I took 12 shots with plenty of overlap, used auto stitch and cropped and resized to suit forum parameters. Only thing bit of an idiot as didn't pay attention to spire, this could have been added if I had
  17. Hi Mark, good to see you and yours the other day at Ranworth and I meant to ask you how you was getting on with the new kit but as you know we were in a bit of a rush so forgot but as you say I too will be waiting for Simonds reply as I have not used the facility on mine either because up to now I couldn't see any advantage

Keep at it Jonny you'll soon get the bug
  19. Jill, on the back screen and on the rh side you should have AWB in a box, this is auto white balance set if this is not visible , just off the side of the screen is a button marked WB just press this and it will bring up a list of settings for you to chose. If you have the wrong setting this may be giving you the yellow tinge. Dont forget to press the SET button after you have highlighted the chosen setting
  20. Nice pics Simon and good to see you back in the swing of things
  21. You been out and about practicing Jill, keep em coming
  22. Well for a nurse she dont do half bad as a model
  23. Julz, Mark suggested this one to Jonny in another thread and I would think it might be ideal as it looks proffesional and good spec. http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/store ... ms=s1000fd
  24. Hi Simon , please give susan my congrats. as well and if I ever am admitted to N&N I will insist it's on her watch

    SLR help/info

Jonny you know my feelings and I think Simon has got it spot on and I also think that a good p&s is the way to go. Your battery issues probably stem from an old worn out battery that needs replaceing anyway, rechargables all wear out eventually.
