  3. Groundhog Day young Alan, We had similar problems on the Ant this year, sadly I was not in a fit condition to do summat about them! In hindsight, perhaps I should have used that fire extinguisher on them! Iain.
  4. This has been going on for decades. Its just highlighted more quickly due to modern technology reporting! IMHO. Will it happen again? You bet it will, sad to say. You could put a sign every ten yards and these accidents will still happen. Iain

  7. Hi Alan, I only ever been once high/high season on the Broads, and two days was more than enough up on the Northern rivers. Its a madhouse, and you do need to keep your wits about you. In saying that, the biggest problem and I should imagine even more now with even less mooring options is, you need to put your cruising hours in early, that gives you half a chance of a half decent mooring. For those who like to mud plug, then as long as you are well stocked up, and perhaps have a dinghy there is no trouble at all, or shouldn't be. I am off to watch the Third Test. Have fun! An example of the busy Wroxham taken recently. Iain.
  8. Polly, Being a canny Scot, this link I put on here.... https://www.openoffice.org/ does many of the applications but does them for nowt! You can always delete if it does not suit you. Iain

  10. I installed 10 this morning, and have to say I like the little tweaks, sort of a old XP upgrade which I thought was Windows best effort, till now. As usual, time will tell if the upgrade suits all, and is easy to use. Delighted to see you are downloading 10 now Dave. Iain
  11. Mark, I hated having to use one, it meant calling in top class amateur scratch golfers off the course. It did however save me a long treck, as pending which course the play was on it saved me a mile and half plus treck! Iain.
