  2. Naw wee canny Grace. At least they would probably be able to buy their diesel cheaper over there for the return journey! Iain.
  3. I don't think ALL have gone over the top Dave, many are tongue in cheek remarks. But do agree it wont stop it happening again. A Flood Barrier just about there would stop them maybe? Iain.

  7. Nothing new that at Berney Arms, Alan. Seen that many times over the years in early July. The tides do frighten folks there, and have helped folks off and landing at their mooring many a time. They like a bit more space to avoid hitting other boats I think. Iain.
  8. Ah Stuart, you mean weather beaten from a summer cruising the Broads Iain.

  15. Right then, let me get this right, there was this hire boat that fancied a wee look at BIG boats in Gt Yarmouth, and was told yer not on, go back where you belong, aye anno, but rools are rools. However it has been noticed there is a possible lack of signage, or maybe not. Where was SOB ? Thought I would just throw that into the mix as well . Anyway the BIG boat is well kent to certain forum members, and that's why ladies and gents, I love this forum so much. Can we go OFF Topic or what! Iain.
  16. Well if he was related to Ronnie Corbett, I hope he could see oot the bridge windae! Iain.
  17. Good ideas Robin, but do you really think the BA would pay for such extra signage? Iain.
  18. Perhaps CliveR will be able to enlighten us all at a later date why they turned left? Iain
  19. Just to add, rewiring stone floored buildings takes a lot longer to do. Iain
  20. Hi Polly, Sounds like you may have registry slowing your PC. I use iolo System Mechanic to keep me up to speed, but paid for that. You could try Malware bytes FREE edition. https://www.malwarebytes.org/ Hope that helps you. Iain.
  21. Did you come via Inverness? Or more likely the roadworks on the A1 and IF you came the coast route via Berwick, then yes its PITA coming that way as I discovered in May from Linlithgow. Came back the A66 M6 M74 etc... Iain
  22. The only problem that may occur Jill is, Windows stopping security updates to Windows 7. Iain
  23. We have two laptops, I am on Windows 8.1 had no real issues with it. I will upload 10 to mine. The spare which is newer I will leave as it is for now. Will report back once I have tried 10 out. Iain.
