Hi Polly, Sounds like you may have registry slowing your PC. I use iolo System Mechanic to keep me up to speed, but paid for that. You could try Malware bytes FREE edition. https://www.malwarebytes.org/ Hope that helps you. Iain.

Did you come via Inverness? Or more likely the roadworks on the A1 and IF you came the coast route via Berwick, then yes its PITA coming that way as I discovered in May from Linlithgow. Came back the A66 M6 M74 etc... Iain

We have two laptops, I am on Windows 8.1 had no real issues with it. I will upload 10 to mine. The spare which is newer I will leave as it is for now. Will report back once I have tried 10 out. Iain.
