  1. Well, Griff will be pleased, a Yorkie wins the series ! I thought the series was going to be ruined by that now out of date Duckworth/Lewis scoring system. I cannot understand, after clubs have spent small fortunes on floodlight systems, matches have to be curtailed. People pay a lot of hard earned to go to these games. A great game of cricket yet again, if not as explosive. Well done England. Congratulations to both teams for fabulous entertainment!!! Roll on next month and The ASHES. Iain
  2. If its lead gutter .....that is a bargain! Iain.
  3. Ray, Good thinking, but as he is dismembered in the boot just now, its best the flag can be seen at home Iain.

  7. Oh Leo, you didn't mention that old fella in Oulton Broad, i've heard it said, he scares the living daylights out of hirers criss crossing in a "MORECOMBE" yachty type thingy, evil he is!!! Goes by the initials of JM on here! Iain.
  8. Yup you got it. Because a car is solid and wont propel its way out like a boat, many hirers think it requires ALL that space to perform a similar manouver. Iain.
  9. Hi Jasper, I am not meaning you sir, no way, I was meaning a lot of folks leave the boat moored to get back out with loads of space Bow n Stern. Iain
  10. IMHO the problem is...some folks think they have to moor as if parking a car, which of course they do not! A small clearance bow and stern should surfice. simples. Iain.

  16. Personally Mark, I still think the Philips V2000 system would have been the best, but it was always obvious to me VHS would win out. Awe Mark you hadn't lived if you didn't have a 8track in your car late 60's early 70's lol Iain.
  17. Best start saving up then Howard! Great news indeed!!! Iain.

  23. Polly asked at the quiz had I been to the Midland Hotel. We have now, went yesterday afternoon. They have made a very good job of recreating the art deco image IMO. Later went for a carry oot curry, as had been to this Indian Restaurant before in Lancaster. It may have been three plus years since last there, but if anything it was even better than the one before! Attached link. http://www.babarelep.../lancaster.html Iain.
  24. Shortest place name in the UK https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ae,_Scotland Iain.
