Slightly off topic. This has always irked me, that many hire boat ropes are too short to do spring lines properly with. You have to move them about, which is not always easy to do. Iain.

Hi Tim, Having worked on many Farms in Ayrshire, and at the Ayr Cattle Market that was,(I rewired it in 1971) I use to see the young vets carry out such things. So do I mod this or not? Its part of lifes wonders I guess. Will let you off with a slap on the wrist! Iain.

Eric, There are times when I feel, IF it was possible, that traffic lights were fitted at Ludham Bridge, I have seen many minor bumps there over the decades. It IS a very busy river on certain days and times of day. I tend to moor further up away from the bridge if at all possible. The ladies enjoy the wee walk to the shop there! Iain

.....Static Caravan.....Yes! After feeling right down in the dumps, I spied as you do, a bargain top of the range Platinum Caravan, in Lancashire, Morecombe, for hire. An area I know well from my cricketing days. So sair leg and awe, Ruth and I are off on Saturday morning, for a week. All being well, will meet up with Keith (Coowee) and Lisa his lady wife on Sunday. I shall be heading also to N Wales for a day to my late Mums resting place in Prestatyn. Hopefully I will be able to keep in touch with free WIFI or my 3 Dongle. If I can't get a signal, I am sure you will ALL be well behaved on the Forum A Mod can dream! Iain.

I had a wee peek at the cam late last night. The chick was snuggled in a corner with head under its wings. What I found interesting was being able to see it breathing with the slight body movement. Let's hope they all survive out in the big wild world. Iain.
