Yes, mine did the same for a few days last week & this week but seems to have sorted itself out now.

Our calorifier will happily keep water hot for one day, warm for two. It astonishes me every time. And no, I don't have an issue with an overheating engine! Just seems to be really well insulated.

Regardless, the stickers on the 24hr mooring notice boards will surely help. Many hirers will see this and take note. I hope.

Totally agree with the noise, especially between 8 and 8. I would say, however, we need more electricity points to counter the increasing demand on the electric systems aboard. I know this has been done to death but there has to be an alternative to running engines on offer. I have no issue at all in paying the occasional £1 to charge batteries and run other goodies.

Our BT internet is very stable. We have finally been upgraded to Infinity and the result is excellent. Even here in the Ludham badlands. Good service, but a really grumpy engineer to change the TV boxes.
37.72 Mbps download, 9.5 upload, 11ms ping. Pretty good for out here the sticks.

Sounds good to go salty. Went out of Lowestoft last Saturday in our rib and it was properly rough, wet and freezing cold!
Thing is, we're not fast on Liberty. We have done RNSYC a few times before going to play, but always at a fairly sedate pace.

Mine is at the bottom of a 3 foot piece of metal strip, the top of which is mounted where I can get to it. The float switch can get bunged up now and again, so I hoik it out a couple of times a year to clean it, and the grating around the pump itself.
Mark at MBA did a great job on servicing my engines and offered a lot of good advice.

Anything over 12 people needs a commercial ticket I believe.
Is this right?

With twins that far apart, it must turn on a sixpence!

There is an upside-down hut blown over at North Walsham Rugby Club this afternoon!

You're right about the French. The pavements in Nice are covered in it.

Agreed. We had a surprise 18th birthday party there and they were so helpful, so keen for our event to be success, full of ideas, they went over and above on every aspect, including breakfast the next day.

i sent a young chap to the tool shop in Hayes Mddx for a long weight. I had a call from the local post office telling me off as the lad had visited four shops and the post office trying to find one and the lady behind the counter was not amused!

We went today and I thought it was better than two year's ago when we last went.
Quite tempted by the Beneteau 880. Very nice with twin 150's and the show boat is £12k cheaper than order and never seen water.
I thought it was reasonably laid out with fairly clear sections: motor boats, yachts, ribs, sailing dinghies, goodies.
A worthwhile day out, bring on Southampton.

Better a spring than a fender, on the principle that prevention is better than cure!
-
Can you put a spring on, to pull the platform away from the quay heading?

Going against the grain, we really like the Waters Edge. Lee and the team are welcoming, efficient and friendly. Having a decent eatery on the Broads was well overdue IMHO, a huge improvement on what was there before and we go there fairly often.

Cleaning the boat without scrubbing ticks the box for me... brush on, have a beer, wash off. Done.

If you are a member of the RYA, there is a cloakroom and restaurant for members upstairs. Much quieter!

Missed last year, but went the year before. Going next week. I have some goodies to buy and might get a bit of a deal or at least get to play with some stuff I didn't know I needed.
I agree it's not as good as I remember Earl's Court to be, but a nice opportunity to do something boaty in January.
Southampton is a must this year, as I say very year and still haven't been...

Liberty is probably talking compound polishing. Normally done using an electric buffer to get the oxidisation off and then give it a damn good polish.
That's the one.
"The man will be doing that for me as well" - he SO won't..!!!

BA campaigns against engine running

Horses for course I think. Some are happy to escape the normal comforts of life in the 21st century, whereas some want a different experience. Personally, I like creature comforts such as heating and hot water, lighting and toys.
