You are welcome to borrow the cable if we can work out the logistics. The software can be freely downloaded and installed on a laptop - the cable will register itself to it.

PM me to see if we can arrange something.

I do have a vagcom cable but as I don’t own a laptop it doesn’t work with my iPad. I have downloaded Carley which with a Bluetooth dongle should do the job.  Thanks anyway.

That's Trevor Transit passed its MOT, however the nearside front brake pads are lower than the offside.  Inspector suspects a slightly binding brake calliper.  I'll be ordering two new front callipers and pads in the coming week then

Just ordered new discs and pads (Brembo) for my car,  they said they were fine when I had it serviced a few weeks ago but they are lipped so catches the pad when it releases and don’t sound great, just need a code reader to release the pads before I can change them.

The cynic in me says that there will be a serious lack of funding for publicly accessible recharging points.  Our local Tesco has installed two, which will clearly not be sufficient long term and there are four in the car park shared between Aldi and a nearby pub in Dereham.  With a government so keen to rid our roads of ICE cars over the next few years, there appears to be little in the way of funding available to support their vision, but plenty for a railway that will be of little use to the vast majority of the population.

Political, yes, but difficult to leave politics out of this subject.

Our local Sainsburys have just removed the free electric charge point as people were leaving their car plugged in overnight and collecting it again in the morning, some people will do anything to save a few bob.

Well I won’t be buying these again. The filling is quite chunky and hard.

  5. A lot of modern engines now have a hollow cam shaft so if the belt breaks they just spin the lobs round the shaft, so it’s just a new cam shaft and belt and your good to go.

A cam belt change on my car is £1250. !!

My MrsG did this pre covid despite not doing heights. She would never do a big wheel at a fun fair. London eye - she managed and did enjoy it

I’ve done the London Eye twice, once in daytime and once at night. Should be on everyone’s bucket list.

Stopped for Sunday lunch here today, Hele had the Pork which was excellent I had the beef which was very chewy, no problem they changed it for half a chicken which was very good, a free coffee and a deduction on the bill. Sometimes things are not right but it’s how the staff deal with it that counts.  Well done to the Lion.
