Somerleyton Bridge Not Operational

Painting the rails white is the biggest B/S excuse ive ever heard. A champhered end would make no difference to expansion and contraction of rails, 60ft or LWR -

They will bring it in cans each shift, as do signal operators in out of the way boxes away from rivers -

If only railway signaling was as easy as some make it out to be on here. Never having worked with swing bridges added into the equation, I have with just level crossings, remember we are talking of hundreds of lives at a time on a train. So safety is a huge factor in all of this. -

Somerleyton Bridge Not Operational

It would never work mate as the problem isnt on the bridge its for a couple of miles either side of the bridges, it would need a mighty long hose to cool that lot off. There is a moral here though buy a boat that that is broads friendly. -

People can be annoyed by others who are stone cold sober just easy if not easier

Its a bit like the ban guns brigade, its not the gun that kills some one it the person pulling the trigger. Alcohol doesnt give people the attitude its the person themselves. Right just off up the pub for breakfast ................

Advice On A Trip To Great Yarmouth..... Help!
Bound2Please replied to Jmorris's topic in Broads Chat
The yacht station is a commercial venture, (yes owned by BA) but in all commercial ventures, profit is what its all about. There is no real reason to arrive at Great Yarmouth at low tide to moor up. Many just time things right and sail straight through it. In over 45 years of coming to the broads I have never once moored there. If you feel that strongly about me please feel free to hit the report button -
In answer to what I think was your original question. The answer is NO, the moorings at Reedham in the days before a mooring attendant was stationed there, people got on with it and helped each other. In those day there was the added coaster traffic and far more hire boats.
