Hemsby Lifeboat are nearly always called out,if there's a emergency on the broads.Thats why I support them.Many will remember when I hit my head last year at Ludham Bridge. They were the first on seen.Gave me first aid,then I was taken to hospital by Ambulance.

I until recently I was not only a member of the RNLI(which I still am).But also my local branch Bexleyheath Kent.We used to collect on average 10/12 Thousand pounds per year,which we returned to I think London. Griff Hemsby Lifeboat is independent of the RNLI,so it raises money for itself. Therefore it's important to raise funds in the best way it can. So rest assured any money raised tomorrow and Sunday we go to support Hemsby Lifeboat Station . Come along 30 stalls, cakes, face painting and 🎅 Santa.

Hemsby Lifeboat are having a Christmas Fair. 11&12 December, lots of things to do and buy and on Sunday they will be naming there new boat.Im pleased to say I will be helping out.So if you are close by,pop in a gets some things for Christmas and help out a very worthwhile cause. In my opinion as a Chef and a customer. The menu seemed to have,many dishes with Avocado, which is not the best ingredient,it has its place but needs a balance. Marina had bangers and mash,I had chicken burger which as I said was average. Okay but nothing to write home about.Compared with the chicken burger we had at the Falgate, Potter which was outstanding. The menu at New Inn is I think a chain one something I not keen on.That said the barman who served us was excellent. A few twigs is all that needed.I may email re mooring charges see what they say.

I was asking about moorings next year.If I have to pay for moorings which is not taken off the bill.I wouldn't moor there.Over the years I've spent lots of money at the New Inn.So they may lose my Custom! To be honest the food last week there was average.No way near the standard of a few years back.

Last night we went to the Whitehorse Chegrave. Dreadful weather on the way.Anyway Christmas Dinner,as usual very good.Last week we went to the new Inn.I asked about moorings,some confusion. One barman said in the season they will charge for moorings.,but that won't be taken off your bill of you have a meal.I think that's wrong if true,think they will lose some custom.

My feeling, and it is only my feeling. I think the rules were relaxed too soon.To ask people to use common sense regarding face masks social distancing etc is perhaps expecting to much.I understand shops not to keen to ask people to wear masks.Many staff in the past 18 months have been abused.

I had my booster last month, Marina is due to have hers on the 8th December. I think its sensible that the Government have firmed up some measures,let's hope they work.I for one don't what to spend time again shielding, after spending much of last year doing so.
