  1. I am interested in the kind that can be walked on if anybody has them fitted. Thnks.
  2. I would agree that the quoted numbers dont add up on paper as presented as a profitable purchase but who is to say it will reach the guide price, are the current mooring fees on the low side or accurate for the area and is the site being used to it maximum excluding the moorings here.
  3. Another pub in Wargrave was the Horse and Groom but that was slightly out of the town. I thought the pub I had in mind was in Henley but then time can play tricks on the old brain.
  4. Cant remember the name just that it wasnt large pub in the centre. Looking at google maps was there ever a small pub in West St or the top end of Gravel Hill on the left?
  5. Vaughan, what on earth makes you think I would know the year better than you! Following links about her cancer the day her death was announced I did find a story where Cliff says that he met ON-J at a party when she was the girlfriend of Bruce Welch and how the two of them hit it off to become friends with ON-J and another girl going on a tour as backing singers and practical jokes being played on each other. The story ends with Cliff saying to be seen to be in a relationship with a women at that time would of been damaging to his career. I can tell a tale about being in the same pub as George Harrison one evening when a couple walked in asking about him and nobody let on that he sitting in a corner of the bar supping a pint. Opps, I just have!
  6. The blokes that prefered John Travolta? Find it quite funny how facts and memories vary of the Olivia & Cliff thing or non thing.
  7. Really! Has the very well known forum member asked you to speak on their behalf, if not I think the very well known forum member might agree that it was a good example to use without naming and shaming anyone.
  8. Could you learn how to lasso the post and pull the boat in MM And on the last point, I know of one member who would agree that it is always good that the other half can moor up should anything go wrong, ie head butting a low bridge for one.
  9. I think of it as a Get Out Of Jail Free card Vaughan, nothing more and not used every mooring. PS, it is little buttons.
  10. Same as the dash mounted type except buttons not joysticks.
  11. Just this minute heard of a mooring in Brundall if that suits you. All services including boat repairs and updates with diesel and gas sales, cctv in large carpark. Dont know about costs but can ask if you are interested. Send me a PM.
  12. I am a great believer in KIS and doing it all nice and gently however having a remote thruster or even two in your pocket for when things go pearshaped when solo mooring is no bad thing. Just wish they didnt make such a darn racket.
  13. Thrusters can be remotely operated, ideal for solo helms.
  14. Seen an advert for stern on mooring up to 46ft at Herbert Woods, avaiable until March 23rd.
  15. Actually, https://news.sky.com/story/euro-2022-brandi-chastain-congratulates-chloe-kelly-over-goal-celebration-and-huge-win-for-lionesses-12663390
  16. All players were warned that any signs of disent would be a yellow card prior to the first match kicking off.
  17. True, however remember where the mens team was back then and nobody wanted to be the Englands manager as it was a poisoned chalice thanks to the papers and TV pundits. All this talk of the womens game now turning the corner, that happened around 2009 with the professional contracts being awarded so ending doing a days work then travelling to training afterwards or asking for days off work
  18. OK, all I will say is that it doesnt have to be that high. Never see a skint vet though.
  19. The OP said if there is a ban what would happen, dont see anybody saying different.
  20. In the top right hand corner is a "Search" box, just enter wi-fi for old threads to appear - Happy reading! In a nutshell you will need a router and a pre paid sim card but because coverage will vary all over the broads you might struggle to always get a decent signal. Which sim you buy depends on where you might be most of the time.
  21. Can you tell Im not a gardener nor a veg grower.
  22. I would think allotments growing food would be exempt. Dont want council wardens turning up with moisture probes now do you.
