People luv to moan on social media so I would fully expect in time, to see lots of people complaining about value for their money and leaving poor reviews and this will impact on folks looking to book going forwards in my view due to the increases charged this year.
-
On looking up the story I don`t think it will effect the broads as far as boaters go one little bit.
-
With the yards seemingly hiking up prices this year I got to wondering how many new hirers will be on social media moaning about value for money and vowing never to return.

Time will tell.

Despite all the comparisons with the DVLA, I see they employ 6000 people and no doubt have a full time I/T dept (Re boot it! ) The BA don't even have a full time I/T dept and the present system works pretty well.
Any improvement, and I/T costs involved, would be toll payer funded.
Correct me if I am wrong but seem to remember an artical about replacing the computer system last year in a funding/ projects meeting, was the cost £240k?

OBB, the updated BA guidance (as updated yesterday) is still showing no overnight stays until the 12th April, and the official government guidance is still 12th April, so I dont know where you have heard that.
PM sent with link and feel free to delete the post if it is in anyway misleading.

So what happens to these moorings in 2027 if the BA cannot renew the lease? Are they abandoned or could the land owner have them as private moorings and charge for their use?
Would they be worth more with no leasing agreement in place should the owner decide to sell on? My guess is yes.

Why all this Urgument now as the Lease does run out till Two Hundred Twenty Severn and claiming the the unsafe Mooring ?
These things take time, six years isn`t that long in the grand scheme of things.

A very good friend of mine had one of those Ford GT‘S , never had a problem cornering as it was in the dealers more than in his garage at home , plus as it was wider than the parking bays he was getting tickets virtually every time he ventured out in Cambridge .
He ended up selling it after 5 months losing £40k!!!!!! in the process , he now drives a Mercedes 900Brabus , sounds fantastic
Sounds like it was a lemon that he brought however to lose £40k is madness or was that the dealers part ex offer. If you can afford to buy one then parking tickets fines are loose change The Brabus is a V10 I believe but pig ugly in my eyes.

My thought exactly. Perhaps tenders were requested but only advertised in the Hebrides News.
Perhaps the covid emergency laws were used.

As much as I like the lines, the sound and brute power of Mustangs I prefer mine to go round corners without dragging their **** out so if the numbers ever come in then it`s one of these for me or something with the Shelby name on it.

The Hire Fleet operators are hardly the little man! If their customers are increasingly finding it difficult to find moorings the customers may stop coming. This could of course be some of the BA motivation.
Ah, so you want the hire operators to get involved like the poster earlier who wanted them to club together and lease it where I took your earlier comment to mean the average joe.

Some of the mooring has been taped off for months. At the speed BA get things done I am not optimistic! This could be another one that slips through the net if a fuss is not made.
Serious question but has the little man ever made a fuss and been heard?

Both silverline and brooms do very well.
Although one of them might want to relocate a staff member to a non customer facing role going by customer reviews left last year and the experiance expressed by a forum member.

Sad news today with the passing of Sabine Schmitz, "The Queen of Nurburgring". She loved nothing more than beating the boys on the track. She appeared on Top Gear and was totally bonkers. RIP Sabine

Anyone know which pubs if any will open for garden service in April
The Yare in Brundall will be open, the coffee shop in the village is takeaway only for bacon rolls etc and East Hills coffee shop is now a fish restaurant currently doing takeaway only.

The area in which I live is The Broads but for my wife and I to drive to Potter & back, with no detours, is getting on for fifty miles. Local, maybe, but is that a reasonable distance or within the spirit of the guidelines?
Let us say the pubs were open again, now you can`t call a pub in Potter your local by any stretch of your imagination can you?

We've had an Octavia since 2006 we did a trouble free 142000miles with it , my daughter is still using it daily now with 189000 trouble free miles, only routine servicing and mot costs, great cars
Only have to look at what Taxi & Private Hire drivers use other than hybrid of course.

Yeah, go on - what do you call a Skoda with a sunroof . . . . . . . . . . A skip!!
Ive heard them all over the past 13 years since buying my first one. A friend of mine calls them ‘a thinking man’s Volkswagen,’ as many of the internal parts are shared and they’re usually cheaper, but it’s surprising how mud sticks and some people will still not buy one, due to past reputation.
In case of any misunderstanding, that joke was from what? The 70`s or 80`s maybe and long before VAG group took over in `91. I would agree with the thinking mans VW friend of yours.
PS Once saw one with VW badges applied - Sad git fooling nobody or somebody making a point?

I cant see it happening for a long time for two reasons, firstly there would legal appeals after legal appeals and secondly considering the market whatever is made the forgers will find a way to forge it.
