  1. Grace, I love it. Made me laugh this morning while nursing a slightly sore head. Couldn't be the Green Jack of course.
  2. Oulton Broad update - fuzz outside the BITD Karaoke at the Broadview Beer in the Wherry very expensive but also very good (Green Jack) Getting very bumpy on the pontoon, wind getting up, could be breezy tomorrow. Humpty Dumpty open day tomorrow
  3. Hi Neil Thought of you when we passed Rosie Lees, sadly too late for breakfast Jean, echo your sentiment entirely. It seems that many more of the Swancraft regulars will miss them a great deal, it's such a shame. But I too wish them well for the future.
  4. Quick tour of Oulton Broad Waveney basic Wherry and Adnams and GK :-( BITD Adnams and Gloombar v loud music (not live) not many in Commodore Wherry and Adnams - rammed Wherry Hotel - 2 Green Jack beers, Trawlerboys and Canary. Great beer eye watering prices :-( broadview - star of the show, friendly and very well kept Adnams Old. In fact it was so good I had another for Carol Next stop, Stanford Arms
  5. You'll be fine Alan. It was a tad breezy mooring on the pontoon at Oulton Broad today. Usual thing, just take things slow and gentle and you'll be fine. It took us a bit of shuffling but we were fine and no gin palaces were damaged It's been a bit windy in places but really nothing to worry about. We were fine crossing Breydon.
  6. Do get out if you can Alan, it's brill Reports of Eskimos and pack ice are grossly exaggerated
  7. Hi Alan Thanks and thanks! That quote thingy was driving me mad! more pics later (hic)
  8. Now in Beccles (train) and the superb Caxton Club. Green Jack Canary. Beer doesn't get better than this. Amazing prices too.
  9. Sunrise over Reedham Ferry earlier
  10. December gets better and better. Just been in the Reedham Ferry. Humpty Dumpty Swallowtail on top form. Brilliant service from Kayleigh too. Highly recommended
  11. Passed by on Wednesday but couldn't stop. Hard to tell if it was open or not. Historically it always closed in the winter. Will try to have a look on the way back.
  12. Hi Alan No, not at all. We always moor near a pub or in a boatyard, not in the wild mooring type of places. In eleven years doing this never felt uneasy or had any problems. Know where you are coming from though. Hope you can get out for the festive season, the weather is lovely PS Iain LOL
  13. Sampled the superb Little Sharpie in the Angel and at the Swan. Superb stuff. New folks at the Angel so much improved
  14. Here's one for Neil as I know he's a big fan of Rosie Lees
  15. Hi Alan, yes, not seen another boat moving all day. This really is such a good time to be out, there is no better time IMHO Massive thanks to Bridgecraft too for making it all possible, what an excellent yard
  16. Mrs Nog has found 'customers' for her corn at Loddon Empty Staithe and no fishermen, yippee! Time for a couple of Little Sharpie in the Swan methinks...........
  17. Beauchamp Arms on the Yare. Now selling Green Jack beers, superb stuff
  18. Coldham Hall in the early morning sun
  19. Swancrafts new marina coming along nicely, good moorings for anyone looking! There will be some visitor moorings too
  20. The kind folks at Swancraft let us moor at their yard last night Train to GY - Mrs Nog likes the shops and 2p pushers. Barking Smack was closed on to Mariners Red Herring and Craft and Cask
  21. Nice one Matt! We went up to Womack to see a friend on Tuesday. Hope I wasn't Speeding!
  22. On the River Yare And I agree Poppy, it's a fantastic time to be out, you can't beat it. I think we saw four boats in total (on the move) although there was a Herby Woods moored ar Yarmouth.
  23. Moored at Swancrafts yard now Iain. Many thanks to Paul. Work digging out the new moorings and basin coming on nicely. Will be great moorings (plug plug) will try to post somevpics later, Internet bit patchy
