  3. Quite nippy on Oulton Broad last night but no problem with double duvets and an extra blanket. Mrs Nog to warm feet on.
  4. To be honest Helen it feels warmer now than it did in May last year. Lovely and mild in Beccles
  5. Most of the Quay is fairly dry but the dried mud is still there. Really sticky stuff. Still tramping it around Beccles

  13. 12.15 with St Olaves showing 9 feet
  14. Right at 10.22 clearance at Great Yarmouth was 10 feet by Mrs Nog's estimation. Tiny bit choppy on Breydon but near perfect conditions. Anyone wanting to get out now's the time!
  15. Hi Simon No, Humber Bridge, very warm and cosy. We moored in Woods yard though and Royal Light was preparing to go.
  16. Absolutely Helen From what I've seen levels up North are pretty much what you would expect for the time of year. I understand levels down South are pretty much settled down now. I guess the Westerly winds have helped. Very warm too. Should be a very good week on MS.
  17. Well put it this way Jean, shares in gin and Humpty Dumpty look set to rise.... 🍺

Levels seem a bit more back to normal for winter. The fish barrier is down at Herbert Woods and all quiet and peaceful in the yard although we were told some boats were going out this week. Tad breezy with a westerly wind.
  19. Couldn't agree more. Richardsons really knew what they were doing when they snapped those up. Swancraft were not only great build quality but one of the few yards that really listened to customers and put a lot of thought into their builds. They didn't penny pinch or cut corners either. For example customers expect plenty of hot water and electric power. Swancraft used quality double battery banks and excellent charging systems. No tiny calorifiers either, the tank on Swan Radiance looked like a domestic one. Superb boats. When the lottery comes up I'd love to get Swancraft to build me a boat but unsuprisingly they are booked up for the foreseeable!!
  20. Very true, with reduced daylight hours crossing Breydon becomes more critical, does help being able to use nav lights though. Indeed, you can get bad weather any time. We were out in May this year and it was freezing. We crossed Breydon in very strong winds in June a couple of years ago. Yet we were out in December and had some lovely weather. I would say in general winters are getting warmer though.
