  1. Thanks for the replies folks, I take your point about the chlorine doing it's job, but the reason I have decided to sterilise the tank and pipework this season is because I am only able to get down to the boat once a month. On returning to the boat, when I run one of the taps I get a really eggy horrible smell for a while untill plenty of water has run through the tap This is the reason I think the whole system would benifit for a good sterilising??
  2. WOW!! Just hand it over mate and find something else to master!!
  3. Just wondered what you guys would recommend as a good product for sterilising my water tanks on the boat. According to the Bounty Boats brochure I think the capacity is 140 gallons so will probably need quite a bit of the stuff!!!
  4. Those are some really nice pictures John! Where did you buy them from??
  5. Hi Geoff, I really pleased you approve of my boat I promise I am looking after her! In fact she is coming out of the water this spring to have a no doubt expensive makeover
  6. The same could be said for Squirrels
  7. 6 Votes against?? Blimey has this place become GRINCH.COM
  8. Has anybody got any pictures of this boat yet?? I,m amazed it's sneaked past everybodys camera's
  9. Maybe they should stop watering it down???
  10. Totally agree with David! You never find solder on an aircrafts wireing, plus one of my bosses is a mechanic for Rallyart who prepared Mitsubishi's Rally Cars and he keeps telling me never to use solder on wireing Good enough for me!
  11. Yes indeed chaps! You would now be able to see my **** just above that boat! I mean my boats stearn of course Your right though it does look quiet and oldy woldy!!!
  12. I must have been looking the other way last time I chugged up that way
  13. Is this boat still moored in Beccles? As I haven't come across her yet..
  14. Dont be so sure Rammy, He has been known to climb aboard the odd old banger!!
  15. It's an idea, but I prefer to keep my windscreen above the water !
  16. Very good point Trevor! Has anyone on here ever had fuel bug??? Bit of a pole i'm starting now! The reason being when I mentioned topping my tank up to the Harrison brothers at Hippersons they laughed and said they hadn't had a problem with this in the past?? Is fuelbug one of those things that used to be a problem years ago when diesel was moor crude but has now all but died out??
  17. You cheeking Charles Barry No it's not mine sadly as Jonzo rightly said mine was a Blakes boat in those days and had a large "Ferry" decal on the slanty side bit behind the Saloon windows. It also had metal covers on the transom corners back then. Classy looking craft though
  18. Hi Nigel, Plenty of good advice from Col there, I also have a Sterling charger onboard servicing 3 Batteries and have to say it works brillianty! The other perk of having Shorepower is you can fit a emersion heater element to your calorifier (Most makes already have a blanking panel ready to accept one) Then you get hot water without running the engine too
  19. Jill! Your not seriously going to sell her after all this are you??
  20. Looking good Jill, what coating are you going to use on the walkways down the sides??
  21. My fuel lines are the proper type with the relevant stamping on them, the only thing is they have a 1999 date stamp on but they are in very good nic so I hope they will pass??
  22. Thanks for that Ian, nice to see it in black and white. Makes for interesting reading that.
  23. Thanks for the info Ian, that has just saved me a bob or two!
