  1. If it's like the one of Barnes Brinkcraft that I moored next to last year, the generator starts up even to open a door or cupboard
  2. It does sound odd, as the whole reason for the flexable coupling is to make up for any slight miss alignment so maybe there is some wear in there somewhere? Im sure ASAP will sell a good replacement or even Peachments for that matter. Is it splined or keyway?? If a keyway then there is always a way of tightning with this type I think? as the key is purely for stopping rotation, not actually gripping the shaft.
  3. To be honest Roy I have no clue as to how much play there should or shouldn't be on one of those couplings, but a quick phone call to somewhere like Peachments would be a good idea
  4. Yes it's still there as I saw a photo of it taken very recently
  5. I shouldn't have watched that one whilst having my dinner
  6. Yuk!! Pleased to say I have never had any of that Think you might be right Perry! Time to start thinking about protecting against it

  8. Thanks David, I seem to be ending up with a lot of cylinders and out of date triggers! Maybe time to take up paint balling
  9. Can you buy the trigger part for these without having to get a new cylinder??
  10. I would think you really want a mud weight for the broads? I would imagine an anchor would be virtually impossible to recover if it got its teeth into that silty mud?
  11. What on earth have they done with the canopy on the Bounty 34 Centre Cockpit (Tasman) It's appears to be floating in the air?? It's certainly not on it's tracks as they slope down the side ?? Bizzare!
  12. What a good idea Jill! That would be a good excuse for a site mini meet plus photography trip
  13. It's amazing how much water some of these ex hire craft hold! Mine holds 140 gallons which adds just over half a tonne to the boats weight when full Something to think about next time your having a lift out!
  14. Bounty Boats used bags of Cement for ballast!
  15. No problem Barry I knew it was the sort of site I would add to my favourites! But this time I think Newf has the one they were all talking about.

  21. Hi Clive, Would a drop through Travellar type toilet not work in that space? The toilet base being the tank like on my boat??
  22. Well not exactly Mark! But I have rewatched my " Wiggy does woodwork" DVD So recon we will have him sorted in no time
  23. Yes any excuse not to pay out and you can bet that would be first thing they would check!!
  24. Hi JohnT I also got one of those extension certificates from the BA, trouble is my insurance stipulates that the boat must have a current BSS cert so I might as well wipe my dipstick with it!!
