philaitch
G'Day from Downunder, now living in Oz, expat from the UK, used to go to the Broads every year for at least a week. Fond memories of Hearts Cruisers @ Thorpe St Andrew, know just enough to moor into the tide and not get stuck under bridges and any holiday back to the UK has to include at least 2 weeks afloat.

SwanR
Welcome aboard ... is there anything remotely like boating on the Broads down under?

riyadhcrew
I don't think that one of them would get through Yarmouth - but beautiful all the same.

I don't think even the pilot would get that through Potter Heigham!

philaitch
We had 2 weeks on a Silverline Marine boat in summer 2016, a great holiday, but my, how times have changed, the south broads was so quiet, I guess that's down to the big super boatyards in the north. ranworthbreeze
Hi Phil, We were trying to keep the Southern Broads a secret especially in the summer months. We were there in early July and it was quite busy. Regards Alan
SwanR
We've been doing a mixture of trips on the northern and southern Broads over the last five years as we like to hire on one side or the other and stay there - we haven't crossed Breydon Water yet. Last year though we stayed north and missed our favourite places on the Yare and the Waveney. I reckon perhaps we'll take a day boat out on the south this year when we're at the caravan one weekend.
