Glenn Miller Is Missing

Meantime

Recommended Posts

Somewhat after Glenn Miller died 1944 and rock follies was 1976.

I've got GMs complete works... Boy did he produce a lot of rubbish, luckily it's just the few good ones everyone remembers..

As for Rock Follies,

Rula Lenska was famous for being famous..

Charlotte Cornwell, was a good jobbing actress sadly no longer with us.

Julie Covington of course, went on to be lead singer on the Evita Album, and then shot herself in the foot by turning down the stage role, as her left wing views, meant she didn't want to be famous..

She was happy enough to be famous, which she continued to be. It was her views of Eva Peron herself that made her not want the part.

She says she later regretted the decision!

That's her current excuse, not what she used to say at the time..

You must have a good memory, I can't find a quote from her later than '85 and that's attributed. She certainly carried on with being famous despite what she said. Showbiz eh? 🍺
