St Benet's Abbey - A Short Video

I had a wander around St Benet's Abbey on Monday. There were a lot of boats on the move, and the moorings were quite full. Here's a short video if you are interested to see.

That was lovely and atmospheric. I think it has one of the best views on the Broads.

Yes, very atmospheric. Wonderful shots of the site, the river and passing boats. 

I’m a bit concerned about how the cross is leaning more and more each season. I hadn’t realised that people have been ‘inserting’ coins into the cross. That can’t be helping with wood’s integrity.

It is strange about the coins in the cross. I haven’t walked over there for some years but didn’t remember them being there.

Think there was some problems over the winter.With vandalism,by the look of the inside.Seemed to be cleaned up a little.

There were workmen/machinery there when we passed on the 23rd.
