Happy Jax 3
Better get some additional lines on the boat then! Not good.
reedham
Looks like it's gonna be a bad one! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-24690552 I've put additional fenders and lines on the boat but is there anything else I need to be doing? I've also left a spare smartphone with a tracking app onboard so if it does decide to go for a wonder without me I'll at least be able to find it! SPEEDTRIPLE
I suppose things go through your mind, like, are the deck cleats well bolted, are the mooring lines strong enough, and am i covered by insurance for things like "an actt of god"?. i think we`ve been forecast to have winds up to 85mph down here on the south coast, so we`ll be keeping an eye on things for sure. If anybody DOES venture out around the Broads, don`t forget to take your camera with you, as it would be good to see what Breydon would be like?. Regards to all ......................... Neil. goodall_m1
They are also talking about a tidal surge so there could be a risk of flooding....
Hylander
Looking at the Brinks Web Cam there is a boat Bounty one level type with a tarp on the front that looks as if it is about to take off. So if anyone can get round there and tie it on a bit better before the strong winds arrive later it may save it.
