JennyMorgan
Chimbly or Chimney? Chimbly in Suffolk! Anyway, that is not the question, but has anyone experience of fitting the flue through a wooden roof in either a shed or a boat? Any advice gratefully received. JawsOrca
The flue must be double thickness.. other than that its as easy as cutting a hole in a roof These chaps down the road from you are brilliant.. (we drove up to grab our stove.. as has many of our neighbours).. www.naturalheating.co.uk

MauriceMynah
Put the gas cylinder next to the wood burner and you'll have a lovely clear boom.
JennyMorgan
Poppy, I'd put a suitably shaped cut out in the boom.
JennyMorgan
This guide looks good:http://www.stovesonline.co.uk/stove-chimney-documentation/Installing-stoves-on-boats.pdfI had a p.m. suggesting I talk to a live-aboard at Wayford which prompted me to have a chat with one of the New Age Mariners at Oulton Broad, very helpful. C.Ricko
I have a wood burner on me old boat, most useful one TMOR a couple of years ago when it were rainy, dried my clothes and marked us all up until it was light the next morning, chucked soot all over the YBOD next to my boat, good job mine was in front! not sure if the install is much more than a hole in the roof though. (i bought her off a live aboard)
