Easter Week

Well Tuesday started cloudy but the sun soon broke through and we were staying put in the yacht station all day.

The morning was spent looking around Beccles including a good look around the church.

Back to the boat for lunchtime and an hour in the park in the afternoon followed by a DVD.

The evening was spent in Prezzo's for a nice pizza.

Up at 7am on Wednesday so not to bad. It was overcast but warmer. BBC weather was showing the cloud breaking but Sky was giving the cloud staying all day-the BBC were right and the clouds broke about 10am to bring sunshine

We had a little walk over the marsh the otherside of the road bridge and then a visit to the playground again!

I then settled up in the office (2 nights with electric £24) and filled up with water before we departed about 11:15 with a destination of WRC where we arrived about 12:45. Very few boats on the river and we are only the 2nd boat in the mooring basin. Lunch was consumed before a stroll round and a visit to the playground!

Tea was had in the Wavney Inn and as per previous visits it was very nice at a reasonable price. The boys both had the small sausage and mash which my 7 year old nearly finished but my 4 year did not have much of a chance!

I went for the BBQ burger which really needed a bigger bun

Vicky went for the seafood platter and for some reason wanted a side portion of chips....

There was also a specials board:

As we left mIst was rolling in which was making it rather chilly:

Soon had the boys in bed and we watched a DVD. Destination for Thursday is Oulton Broad.

Thursday

The day started at the WRC in thick fog. This had mostly lifted by 10am so we set off for Oulton Broad and arrived there about 11:00. Not many boats on the move and in fact we were the only boat moving on the Broad.

We had an early lunch in the sunshine and caught the train to Lowestoft where it was cold and foggy! A bit of kite flying and an ice cream and we were on our way home but to the other Oulton station as Reedham Swing Bridge was stopping trains running on the Norwich line.

Carvery tonight in the hotel- very nice and reasonably priced.

The sun was setting as we left
