Well the car was loaded up big time with my mum joining us for the week. Dropped the cat in the cattery in the way and the journey took about 2 hrs 10 min so not bad.

Quickly unpacked and slipped the ropes around 12:15 and headed to Bramerton where we moored up on one of the electric posts.

Too notch evening meal was had in the Waters Edge.

Back to the boat and put some heating on! Hopping the Easter bunny comes over night.........

So Sunday saw us awake at 5:45(!) put the boys back to bed which lasted until 6:30. Some Easter gifts were opened and after breakfast we opened the curtain where the boys discovered that the Easter Bunny had left some eggs over the common that needed to be found! The Easter egg hunt was on!

Once the eggs were all collected we went back to Brooms to collect my inlaws who were visiting for the day. We then headed to rockland for a nice roast lamb

After the meal we walked up to the bird hut overlooking the broad and then headed to Surlingham broad where we mudweight and after tea back to Brooms to drop the inlaws off.

Easter Monday

The boys treated us by sleeping in until 6:45! #winning

Whilst we were having breakfast the Broom hireboats started return and they all look in fantastic condition. Once refilled they even move them only using the ropes so as not to use the diesel ahead of the next owner!

We departed Brooms around 10:00 and arrived in Beccles at 16:00 after a fairly uneventful journey.

Overcast and fairly cold today but the forecast suggests better is to come.
