my holiday tales on the broads on the 27th of may 2015 boat from richardsons the concerto 5

day 1

we drove up the day before and stayed at the travel lodge at acle went to acle bridge and.

went out on a day boat then went to the little chef for dinner and breakfast which was lovely .

then we woke up the next day and went to great yarmouth to the arcades then to the boat yard to pick up the boat.the travel lodge was a great place to stay very friendly staff as well as the little chef.

day2

picked up the boat at 2pm concerto 5 we loaded the boat then left richardsons boat yard traveled down river about 20 minuites and moored up at a wild mooring on the left just before barton turf unpacked cooked a lovely steak dinner then spent the evening relaxing the mooring was lovely and peacfull 

day 3

got woke up at 6.30 am  by two swans and there babies tapping on the side of the boat by the bed room telling us its time to get up and feed them i must say it was lovely to wake up that way we had breakfast then set of down to stracey arms to see the animals and to go to the shop spent the night there yet again it was lovely and quiet.

day 4

woke up about 8 30 am started to cook breakfast we had the windows open we had some lovely visiters as we sat down for breakfast jack the goat put his head in the window to say hello followed by the donkeys witch was lovely the children love it there with the animalswe was not sure what to do that day as it was the three river race and we knew it was going to be busy so we set off we got to the turning for potter higham and looked left and saw loads of yauts so we decided to go to potter higham as we was going along we kept pulling over for the racers to go past finally got there moored up in herbert woods went in to town to lathams to do a some shoping then went back to the boat to spend the night and watch the race which was good to watch.

day 5

got up early and set off because we was not sure if the race was still on went back to stracey arms stop there for breakfast and to top up on water then we set off for salhouse island to spend the night yet again was lovely and quiet lovely sun sets there and lots of wild life to watch.

day 6

we left  salhoues for stalham for are last night got back to the boat yard packed the car up then went in to stalham for take away the feed the geese and there babys and thats about all we did not much but relax  looking forward to are next trip in august thank you for reading 

boat review 

concerto 5  lovely boat for a family of four newly refurbished nice size galey and breakfast bar nice sized seating well at the front of the boat and a nice a helm seat a nice 3 seater sette nice sized double bed room and nice size to bunk beds for the children nice sized shower and toilet for the average size person and lots of storage space and very quiet when under way and very responsive will hire this boat again.
