Saturday morning.....just turned into Ranworth Dyke.....Jenny

jumps and shouts "what's that?". Something had caught

her at the side of her glasses and dropped to the floor.

It was a Great Tit fledgling and mummy landed on the

canopy shouting at it. It was a bit stunned but Jenny

picked it up and put it on the canopy roof where after a

few minutes, it flew off, now several hundred yards from

where it came from!

Hope it made it and mummy found it.

Never had that before. Had the usual ducks etc, but

that was a first!!

Just rescued a baby Blue tit from the pond. Stupid bird managed to land in the water!! Helped him onto a plant pot to let him dry out and he then climbed up the plant and off into the water again!! Totally soaked and not very good at flying so he is now in a bush in the garden with both of us taking it in turns to keep an eye on the poor chap.

The sun should dry him out fairly quickly and he can get on his way. Not seen Mum yet though.
