A friend was a very good cabinet maker and boat builder, I have always enjoyed wood but never had the patience to make furniture or anything over a long period. So he suggested turning, I got a lathe and loved it, you can spend a hour or two and produce either a bowl or similar or at worst a satisfying pile of shavings. I usually do stuff as gifts or commissions for people mainly in the winter after the boating season. I do bigger stuff to.... 3 Quote
