Yes Iain. Did you manage to catch the 'special' in Lidle a couple of weeks ago?  I got a 2011 red for £11.39 and a white ( rare as rocking horse poop - even in France) at £12.99  cheers

Poppy,

I usually wait for the Aldi's one, its even cheaper lol or was last year, and very nice it was too, so I was told by the person I gave it to as a prezzie. cheers If only one could find a cheap but quality Nuis St George. A white du Pape, I thought only available in the Vatican?:naughty:

Someone who knew about wine once discribed white CNP as a "fat wine" best enjoyed with cheese in the samer way as one would with port.

I had a white CNP with stilton, lying at mudweighjt in Salhouse once. It was my finest day on the broads in my life.

Perhaps I could try a glass of CNP white with Isle of Arran;s finest Mature and Caramelised Onion cheese, and fine oatcakes. Sound like a very good idea.
