  6. "sailing boats darting erratically from side to side along the river without consideration for any other vessel." Made me smile.......

  10. Good idea Dave, What about this...... Dear Mr Scott, Thank you for your reply, and of course the link to The Broads Authority publication. Sorry my reply is a little late, as I have just returned from a boating holiday on The Broads. Here is a little more of Rory Stewarts statement, as you can see the Broads Authority did miss a little from the beginning. I am saying both those things. Just to reinforce that absolutely clearly for the avoidance of any doubt, the broads are not legally a national park and do not come under the national park legislation, and nor will they. We are very comfortable with the broads describing themselves as a national park, but that is essentially to express in common-sense terms to the public that it is a protected landscape with many of the qualities of other national parks. The full details can be found here https://hansard.digiminster.com/Commons/2015-07-08/debates/15070835000002/NorfolkAndSuffolkBroads
  11. Hi Alan, just got back from a week on the broads, no problem with cases or beer... got the boot and the bonnet for space... and if I needed more beer I could have left the OH behind...
  12. Please Lord, let me stay young..... When I got my toy 2 years ago, my mother managed to get in, it has nice wide doors, and is low enough.... Had to get help to drag her out though....
  13. mmmmmmmmm, Would not be too hard to ask... Which of these is our most Easterly Member of the National Parks Family.. More accurate, and not a lot of time wasted in keeping the question short and simple for the contestants...
  14. Hi Mr Nog, While in the shop the lady behind counter said that the head cracker would be ready and bottled by mid April... And if I wanted I could order it online for delivery Maybe the Reedlighter will be the same, and you could order some...... But like any beer on mail order (from bottles,) it might not taste as good as from the pump
  15. And it would be rude not to visit the shop at the Fur & Feather.... Only had 6 ready and bottled........ (no Headcracker )
  16. Another one I tried on Friday was at the Wayford Inn, on the chalk board they advertised a cask ale I think it was called BAR13 or something, more of a larger at 5% but very nice ( I had to have 2)
  17. Hi Howard, This is the beer of the month at The Fur & Feather..... Visited last week had a Bure Gold and the Reedlighter (very nice)
  18. And the reply is............ drum rollllllllllllll Thank you your email regarding a question used on a recent episode of 'The Chase'. We asked: What is the most easterly of the UK's National Parks? A) The Broads B.)The Cairngorms C) The North York Moors And gave the answer as The Broads, which is the furthest east of the three locations. We strive to make sure all of our questions are correct and each one is researched thoroughly at the time of writing and is further sent to external verifiers for fact checking. The Broads is a ‘member of the National Park family’ but with the additional functions related to maintaining the navigation. It was given an equivalent status to that of a National Park by its own specific legislation. Therefore the answer is correct. Additionally, because of this equivalent status our Minister, Rory Stewart MP, has stated that he is more than comfortable for the area to be known explicitly as “Broads National Park”. You will find some more detail in the press statement at this location: http://www.broads-authority.gov.uk/news-and-publications/news/defra-minister-declares-broads-national-park-branding-common-sense So in conclusion, I am happy that our question was perfectly accurate and there is no cause for further concern. Regards, Martin Scott Executive Producer The Chase no cause for further concern
  19. Engine Inn.... He called in for his dinner
  20. Talk of the devil, It dropped on my mat today, down again £266.98
  21. paul... I must have edited it to easterly before you answered. they also did it a few months ago as well in one of the cash builder rounds... producers and their question setters not doing research...
  22. try LV. Mine is due soon for my toy.... First year £374, last year £370... this year will know end of march
  23. A copy of my email sent to ITV I would like to bring to your attention a dubious question and answer in The Chase episode aired on Friday 26th Feb. The multiple choice question was which is the most easterly national park in the UK. The three possible answers were The Broads, The cairngorms, The North Yorkshire Moors The answer was given as The Broads, this is incorrect as The Broads are not a National Park, and due to the Sandford Principle will never be a National Park.
