  4. I have kept off of these topics, as what I could say would get me a rather good telling off from the mods... But, what I do not understand is that after every, and I mean EVERY terrorist attack, the police/authorities say that the person/persons doing it WERE KNOW TO THEM..... I know the saying innocent until proven guilty, but being proved guilty by taking young innocent lives.. that's it, say no more Donny, just in case...

  11. This is the saddest news I have ever read on the forum. When I first joined, Jill and I spent many a late night in chat, putting the world to rights. My thoughts are with Lisa and her family. Rest In Peace Jill All my love Geoff

Allhough you don't know me, but I have large ammount of personal info on you. The thing is that, most probably mistakenly, the info about your account has been dispatched to me. For instance, your address is: ************************** Doncaster South Yorkshire ********** (YES MY FULL ADDRESS, I PUT THE **** THERE, NO WORRIES COS DONNYGEOFF GIVES THE PART I LEFT AWAY) I am a law-abiding citizen, so I decided to alert may have been hacked. Document password is - 3136 Sincerely, Lourdes Salgado There was a file attached, do not open it, just forward the email to nfibphishing@city-of-london.pnn.police.uk web page www.actionfraud.police.uk telephone 0300 123 2040
  14. Some people think I am a small person. This sticker is in my car rear window.....
  15. Can you remember the first time you got behind the wheel of a boat on the broads, hire or owner. What one word would describe how you felt...... Left alone to deal with everything. You have just left the yard in your hire boat, or the marina in your time share/parents/friends/other half's, pride and joy.... Mine is DAUNTING (If I had used two words it would be S**t scared).
  16. yup your right.... I pressed it and it said you like this.... PS.... THE UNLIKE BUTTON IS WORKING AS WELL.......... ( pressed like again, cos you should always go by your first instinct)

  18. Hi Timbo, Good pics, I can't see myself, but I do remember that when we had our sports day, I was sat by the fence next to the road. Funny thing is, at that age I would not have thought that I would eventually buy one of the houses in the background. Geoff
  19. At least the staff have been told... or is it a double bluff..... I was mystery shopped while selling cars for a main dealer, we were not told in advance, and I was the unlucky one. Now to earn money selling cars, you need to sell cars, I had 4 mouths to feed and a mortgage to pay...... My mystery shopper wanted to "buy" a small economical new car, he was "very" interested in the model that this main dealer did. I asked the questions to qualify what he wanted and we arrived at a 1.4 5 door hatch, after about an hour of talking and answering his questions I suggested that we take one from the demonstrator row so he can get a feel for the car. "no" he said "that won't really be any help, the car is for my wife" I then said " OK no problem, let's make an appointment for your wife to come in" "no need, I can tell her all about the car and if she is interested I will bring her in" "how can you tell her all about the car if you haven't driven it (bums on seats sell cars)" anyway to cut a long question and answer session short, I decided I was wasting my time, stood up shook his hand and said "ok see you some other day" and walked off. As I walked away, a customer I spoke to the day before came up to me and said "Hi Geoff, that car I took for a test drive yesterday, can I have it" he had been waiting for me for over an hour while I was with the mystery shopper. Car sold, money in bank...... The mystery shopper left after about 15 mins sitting on his own a week later, called into dealer principals office to watch a short video.... Lucky for me that month I had sold 26 cars and was the top man for the second month running, that apparently along with the sales manager sticking up for me, was the only thing that saved my job. Mystery shoppers, I just love them.....
  20. that brought back memories of my granddads house, the kitchen sink tap had a drip, he tied cotton round it, left it dangling into the sink, no more drip, drip, drip.....
  21. Just a quick tale about noises in the night....... As the bilge pump going off during the night has been mentioned, I was wondering if the cause of the noise could be something else........ First hire a long time ago from Freshwater Cruisers of Brundall. The first night the "bilge pump" was going off so in the morning while doing the engine checks as told to, I checked for water around the bottom, didn't see any, so thought, "the bilge pump works then, water must be getting in when under way, and the pump emptying it when stopped overnight" So, after we moored up for the evening, I check for water again... nothing, it was as dry as a bone. When settled down for the night, the pump noise started again, note made to phone yard in morning, as with no water down there it should not be running..... At about 2 or 3 am it went off again waking myself and Mrs DG up "That pumps working again, I will have to phone the yard later" Then Mrs DG said....... Have you remembered to turn the water pump off, like the yard said................ One flick of a switch and guess what...........
  22. our new bundle of joy KC name "hufflepin pumpkin pie" because he was born Halloween week, sticking with the ghostly theme we have named him Casper with his new friend Elvis
  23. How about tripping when getting off to moor and smashing your noggin on the quayside.....
